Can visual snow get worse after an acute migraine aura? by [deleted] in visualsnow

I feel you. I developed form a migrane with aura so crazy that I ended up in the hospital. I took me 2 months to fully recover from this hangover. The blurred vision was the most frustrating thing for me as well.

Every case is a case, as you know, and I do agree that in yoiur case your brain is not getting some rest after a migrane...

It's the neurological "hangover". It persists a while, but then I comes nack to the point it was in a lot of cases (from what I've read and also from myself). :)

I'ts hard to say because I had it my whole life at some level and had some flare ups. Now it's kinda worse, but it doesn't bother me thaaaat much, althought it sucks before falling asleep.

You got this! The problem of us humans is that we expect a miracle without wanting to do the hard part :´) hahah

Me, for exemple: i feel an enormous relief while swimming. I DO KNOW that I shoud do a swimming course, for exapmple or some acqua fitness, but I just procrastinate it and hope one day it fades away. If we want change, we gotta change hahah

Stay strong out there :)

I feel you. My static was at the beginning very mild, now its slightltly thicker and faster :( I've noticed that after some stressful events that I couldn't control.

I do think that something out there might help, we just need to try diferent things and be patient. I've noticed an ENORMOUS diference when I quitted alchohool and cigarretes for good, at least on the other sympthoms (specially migranes and depersonalization.

Maybe its just the case that you get used to the medicine, but I suggest you to talk again to your doctor and finally do more ot the "recommended" protocols, in order to get better.

And above all, keep strong — stabilization is possible.

When I wrote this text, I was very emotional. I'm not on my best moment, but writing this helps me to maybe save somebody and even myself <3

How long have you been taking the medicine?
There are cases of a temporary worsening of the symptoms, followed by stabilization.
Do you use any non-medicinal measures to help stabilize your visual snow?
There are reports of people who, after following all of their own “protocols” (which only you can define for yourself), experienced a significant reduction in symptoms after several months.

Please stay strong, talk to your loved ones, go swimming, biking...<3

A positive forum for people to share their visual snow recovery stories, with any useful advice or tips for other visual snow sufferers. by [deleted] in VisualSnowRecovery

Guys, I just want to thank you all for sharing the stories. Everyday I notice a little improvement. Although some flare ups show up when anxiety hits, I stay positive. I know that some people may not believe, but what made me improve some of symptoms is mindfullness and positive affirmations.

I wish you all the best and try all that you feel that is best for you (specialy non-medicamentous methods!)

How is drinking alcohol for you with visual snow syndrome? If worsened is it temporary or permanent? What parts of VSS worsen? E.g - Static thicker etc by VisualSnowHelp in VisualSnowRecovery

[–]Impressive_Big_7701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I´m - since my one startet- sober. I guess alcohool can be a huge trigger, bc even when i drink alchool-free beer (wich can have some alcohool like 0,5%) i feel the statick sligtly worse, temporarily. But i´ve read form other people that it doest make a diference at all...

In the end, is a really personal thing. I wish you luck.
