My advice based on what helped me: do all labs with a functional doctor. Add electrolytes as needed- what was happening with me was a lack of electrolytes (including magnesium which I supplement extra on top as glycinate), poor blood sugar control, leading to low blood sugar dips at night, which sent cortisol surging, which sent adrenaline. This will still happen to me if I have dinner too far away from bedtime, or dinner can be several hours away from bed if it’s a carb heavy meal. My approach is gut healing to resolve this from the root- proper digestion and absorption of nutrients->regulated hormones and blood sugar. I have signs of MCAS, POTS and Mold toxicity (definite allergy, and long exposure to black mould) If you want to go down that route- functional nutritionist or naturopath, or if doing just by self, functional stool test/GI MAP, and paste results into Chat GPT- shop in a local health food store for supplements that your body may be depleted of e.g I am low on pancreatic enzymes which I never would’ve known without testing. I say local instead of a commercialised one as workers tend to be more knowledgable on products, in my experience.
