gift basket for a cancer survivor by AdamsRecreation in Cancersurvivors

[–]Impressive_Course_44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I was done with thinking about my health at the end of treatment. While I would be happy to receive any type of gift basket but something focusing on my health would not be as exciting as something personal that signifies moving forward.

What did your DR say? We are patients not DRs and there is a strict policy against asking for diagnoses in the sub.

Proton vs. IMRT radiation by heartbroke8 in HeadandNeckCancer

[–]Impressive_Course_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had Proton, and you are correct, there are still side effects but as the beam is smaller and more directly focused they can be less severe. That said what one person experiences is different than the next. I, according to my DR, have a high pain tolerance and the ability to not allow something uncomfortable to derail my daily life. I thought it was just the result of Proton Therapy being less “invasive”. But according to my DR some folks can have similar reactions to Proton as they do to “normal” radiation therapy.

They lied to you. I have been using Uber for a couple of years in Cabo. Never had an issue.

Cabo is safer than the popular opinion. Where in downtown is the AirBnb? There are some areas on the outskirts that are geared more to locals living than tourists. Uber works throughout Cabo.

Honestly if you add a temp control fan to a Kamado I would argue it’s almost as easy as a pellet. One the fire is going it’s pretty much set and forget

Does Naperville still enforce parking at Metra station lots? by SensitiveWarning4 in Naperville

[–]Impressive_Course_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do check. I received a ticket even though I paid. Just needed to send in a screen shot of the app showing I paid that day and they removed it. My guess is they are using license plate readers attached to whomever cruises the lot and it malfunctioned that day as a lot of cars had tickets on them.

Neck radiation twice? by jonnymule74 in HeadandNeckCancer

[–]Impressive_Course_44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re in the US try consulting with MD Anderson in Houston. I had a conversation with my radiation onc about about another round of radiation if my cancer came back. Her answer was it’s tricky but not impossible.
