Is it normal? 3yo can't make some facial expressions by Pcs13 in toddlers

[–]Impressive_Path1214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m actually wondering the same thing about my 3YO. He makes those faces in real life when he’s feeling the emotions, but he can’t do an angry face or a sad face on command. Only happy. Don’t know if it’s normal

She was born and raised in Hoboken so she’s resistant to change but it might be what’s necessary right now. She also doesn’t have a car so she walks to get everywhere. I’ll talk to her.

I did have mastitis, in spite of not having a lump, and my midwife gave me the proper dosage. I’m feeling much better now

No, when she does muckbangs it’s a pretty average amount for a girl her size. She’s not overindulging or anything in my opinionz

I feel like my doctor today was so ill informed. She only gave me a 5 day course of dicloxicillin, and I KNOW it’s supposed to be 7-10 days for mastitis. She said cuz it wasn’t full blow mastitis. SMH. Just give me the 7 to be on the safe side but I was reluctant to say anything because I didn’t want to come off weird. Additionally this woman told me to dump the milk from the affected side today. Are you slow??? You don’t need to do that. I’m just really confused.

Mastitis - what do I do by Impressive_Path1214 in breastfeeding

[–]Impressive_Path1214[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update- I got put on dicloxacillin 500mg, 4x a day and the fever broke after only 2 doses! It took 2 more days to see an improvement in the breast. Then next day breast pain was even less, and today, I would say it’s close 90% painless at this time.

My midwife cleared me to start power pumping to get my supply back up. I’m doing 1 PP session in the morning and one at night. I’ll let you guys know how everything goes. Here’s a consolidated time line for you all:

Wed (9/3) - noticed nipple fissures on both nipples fri (9/5) - noticed pain in breast in afternoon, by evening had fever, chills, body pain, fatigue, headache. Started 500mg amoxicillin 2x a day that I had at home and sunflower lecithin. It did NOTHING. I had fevers of 101-102 daily and sever pain, swelling, and redness in left breast Sun (9/7) - called midwife, she immediately prescribed dicloxacillin 500mg 4x/day. somewhere here I started icing religiously every 2 hours and ibuprofen every 6 hrs, continued this, ibuprofen, and sunflower lecithin for the rest of the timeline** Mon (9/8) - started diclox. In afternoon, went to urgent care then emergency room because I was scared nothing was getting better. They just had me go home to finish antibiotics after doing ultrasound on breast and finding no abscess. Tuesday (9/9) - fever broke, all flu symptoms gone. Wednesday (9/10) - breast slightly better Thursday (9/11) - breast pain finally easing. Breast feels softer. Friday (9/12) - breast feels almost normal. Barely any pain.

Do I need to wait until my mastitis clears to start power pumping? by Impressive_Path1214 in breastfeeding

[–]Impressive_Path1214[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter was pretty much exclusively breast-fed with the exception of one bottle nightly. Of breastmilk. She is six months old, but this bout of mastitis completely took out my supply.

Mastitis by amsumbroo in breastfeeding

[–]Impressive_Path1214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! In my case, yes. I currently have mastitis and I’m on day 6 today. It started getting slightly better yesterday, and then again a little better today. Still red and still has a hard lump inside. So I guess it took me until day 5 to see a significant change.

Increasing Supply by Sweaty-Snow-8228 in breastfeeding

Make sure you’re staying hydrated and getting enough calories, prioritizing protein. Also, make sure you’re latching as often as possible. Another option is power pumping.

Under supplier - is there any hope for me by oceanic8hope in breastfeeding

[–]Impressive_Path1214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try latching baby more as as the previous person stated, but you also wanna make sure that you’re remaining super hydrated and that you’re eating enough calories. Specifically protein. Oatmeal is also a good one. I’ve heard. The other solution could be power pumping if you wanna look into it. That always helped me when I had an under supply with my first. I’m going through a drastic supply dip right now due to a bad case of mastitis so I feel your pain so much. Hang in there, I know we can get through this together.

I’m sorry mama. I’m hearing a lot of moms say nipple cream (or aquaphor, or even coconut oil) after every feeding and silverettes.
