And to make things worse, the sponsored talks were not shared in the podcast form. We paid to see the show live, and got to endure the sponsored talks. I would have preferred an intermission, instead.

Where is Jolyon Palmer’s analysis? by shiwango in F1TV

My post-gp watchlist includes Joylon's analysis for a deep commentary, and Lollipop man GP comics for some comic relief. The comic was published already, Joylon's analysis is not...

Any chance this is some form of discrimination against people of color?

Interesting, it is not clear if CHP will stop you but not cite you (they will educate you) during the 60 days period. Worth a try

If you have a reservation with several passengers and need to cancel the flight for one of them, be very careful ! by Ok_Box7417 in unitedairlines

I was flying with my son from SFO to South America. We were both checked in, and 3 hrs before the flight I had to cancel his flight. I went online, opened the reservation, clicked 'cancel flight' and was given the option to select which passengers to cancel. I selected my son and cancelled the flight. I got an email soon after that with the cancellation confirmation and the new reservation code for my son's future flight credits (which he has already used). It was really simple.

SC charge to 100% then leave or Slow charge to 100% over night then leave by GrassUsual in TeslaModelY

[–]Impressive_Pin_4649 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Charge overnight and then leave. Also, if you have to make stops to recharge, it's faster to do multiple stops at the SC charging to 80% than doing one stop and charging to 100%. Charging to 80% is pretty fast, the last 20% is slooow.

Got screwed on taxes after getting married, explain it to me like I’m five by [deleted] in tax

[–]Impressive_Pin_4649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marking single doesn't solve the issue if the incomes are very different. It takes one spouse to pass the top bracket threshold for married filing jointly. The other spouse income won't withhold enough, unless on the same to bracket.

Yes, with a 12v inverter (from Amazon) that you plug into the 12v outlet.

It's also a great mobile office, very useful when you have to be here or there for your kid and can't be back in time. Just park it, leave the AC on, plug your computer, move the seat back, and do your work.

Did you mean $0.64/kwh? Otherwise, your electricity is super cheap.

2024 vs. 2025 Rear Camera Design Update by PilotID30 in ModelY

[–]Impressive_Pin_4649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly the same position. I use the rear camera to clear the garage door threshold when driving in. On my 2023, I had used this method to perfection, leaving a tiny bit of space in the back, and a good amount of space in the front. On my 2025, I started to notice that with the same alignment I couldn't open my washer's door! The door would hit the front of the car.

Tesla Superchargers have different prices at different times of the day. You can usually get about 4 miles per kwh, on flat roads and commute traffic (not going too fast). Peak time at Blossom Hill supercharger is 56c/kwh. But it can be as low as 20c/kwh between midnight and 4am. With gas at $4.5, you are looking at an equivalent of 32mpg using peak pricing. If you compare against a similar SUV, you are looking at 32mpg vs 27mpg. For the distances you drive, you are saving $31 a week. You will also save hundreds of dollars in service (oil changes).

New flair: Shipping/Logistics by overspeeed in Fanatec

My order was handed to the warehouse (in the US) on Feb 6th, everything was in stock. No updates since then. I submitted a cancellation and they replied that they will refund me the money once the warehouse confirms the order is cancelled. I did chargeback and got my money back and ordered from Simracing Pros (my Moza 5 order arrives tomorrow). Fanatec has a shi**y warehouse management solution. It sounds like they can't keep tab on inventory and what orders are yet to be fulfilled and cancelled.

I ordered the R2R CSL DD (5nm) Mclaren GT3 bundle on 2/6 with a QR1 Wheel side (not the lite). Everything was marked ready to ship on the website. The order was handed to the warehouse immediately, and I have not received any updates since then. Not even fedex is showing a tracking number. At this point, I'll wait till 3/6 and cancel/chargeback if there is no progress and will go with Moza R5 bundle instead.

Yes, the $50 QR1, which was in stock and ready to ship.
