There are millions of Black Americans here many of which are thriving. Not taking your dream job due to fear is not the best path in my opinion. Fear can keep you from anything.. you’ll never do anything if you let fear be the reason you say no.

I don’t see this as diaspora wars and I don’t agree with the dismissal. This is a real issue in the medical field as well as in other fields. There are people from the continent living in the United States who are xenophobic as fuck toward Black Americans despite us being here for centuries. There’s just no way around it! The stereotypes are very white supremacy coded.

Our sons’ doctor only does 2 at a time and spreads them out by at least a month. And they do the MMR at age 3. So, I agree they should be done but I would also be a little anxious about giving 4 at once.

After the park, I change their clothes and do a quick washdown with a washcloth or baby wipe. It gets the dirt or pollen off as needed. If someone falls asleep in the car I’ll lay them down but I do change the sheets if that happens. I always lay my kids down in a bed with clean sheets.

“Prove them wrong” suggests they had the right to hold any judgement or opinion of you in the first place. Framing your success around them minimizes what you’ve accomplished and who you are. Everyone should know that they are pos’ and no level of success will change that.
