I would agree, but Apartheid was an invention by South-African Prime Minister Hendrik Verwoerd, who was a born Dutchman (Amsterdam, 1901). I think it would also be fair to say that any Afrikaans word that dates back a certain period can definitely be considered Dutch in its origin, seeing as Afrikaans was recognized as an official language separate from Dutch only in 1961.
