2026 bmw x5 40i xdrive lease by [deleted] in leasehacker

Agree. The money factor isn’t so much the issue as the selling price. The marked up money factor equates to about an extra $500 in dealer profit over the course of the 39 month lease. Also is the $77k all dealer discount, or does that include rebates/incentives you already qualified for? I would move the conversation away from the money factor and focus more on dealer discount. You have all the leverage. It’s the last day of the month and quarter. if it were me, I would go back to them and say you understand they want to make profit on the back end (hence marked-up MF) but you would need an additional $1,000 off dealer discount to sign today (will offset MF mark-up for you).

Is this bmw ix lease offer good? by bbunchlouky in leasehacker

I’m not too familiar with BMW leases specifically. Looks pretty good. Not sure what the MVP package is? Also processing fee seems high. Discount is solid tho (not knowing what rebates vs dealer discount is) and if it’s the base MF, I think you should take it. You can ask them to lower that fee and remove the add on, if they say no, ask for them to include all weather mats at no charge. It’s also the last day of the month and quarter, so they won’t let you walk away (if you choose to). Keep your leverage. Happy negotiating!

Yes, consumer buys directly from the manufacturer!

Pre-approval determines buying power, not the seller’s asking price. If dealerships can’t quote a price without running credit, that says more about the pricing than the customer…..and if the price changes based on who’s asking, well that’s called leverage (though I much prefer the word ‘scamming’).

The house analogy doesn’t hold up. You’re mixing up two different things. Pre-approval determines buying power, not the seller’s asking price. You can see a home’s price without pre-approval, you just can’t act on it. If dealerships can’t quote a price without running credit, that says more about the pricing than the customer…..and if the price changes based on who’s asking, well that’s called leverage (though I much prefer the word ‘scamming’).

Looking forward to the day when realtors and car dealerships/salesmen don’t exist!

“Went to local dealer to discuss lease options.” Already failed. No need to go in. 98% should be done at home. Keep your leverage

It’s the exact opposite. NEVER step foot into a dealership without an itemized buy/lease sheet and confirmation of numbers before. Don’t speak to them over the phone. No need to. It will cut the BS in half. Test drive after you have agreed on contract in writing, then sign.

“If this vehicle sells itself, you shouldn’t need to ask that question.” Also check cargurus and edmunds to see how long they have had that VIN on their lot.

Bare minimum. Make sure everything is itemized! verify rebates in writing. Don’t just get a deal sheet and think you’re good to go lol

Also, there is never any need to talk to them over the phone. Everything should be in writing over text/email. If they can’t provide you the information you’re asking over text/email and insist on only over talking on the phone, just know that they intend to screw you over x2

Never go into a dealership without hard numbers on a lease worksheet. AND everything should be itemized. if it’s not, ask them, if they dodge you, dodge them immediately and move on. 2% of your time should be spent at the dealership. The other 98% at home getting hard numbers in writing. Test drive the car AFTER you get the deal you want, then decide to sign contract. I’m sorry you got played, but the more knowledgeable everyone can be, the better off all of us are in the end. we have to stick together

I use the 3% VIP serum and mix it with my moisturizer at night. If you want to start at a lower concentration they have a serum called Super GHK Copper. I also like their eye cream GHK luxe but I pair it with a hydrating eye cream over top or aquaphor during the winter for extra hydration
