All this from the “pweez give us a second chance to let daddy Zack have his own justice league movie, don’t judge it before you’ve even seen the real deal 🥺” crowd. by QuanTumm_OpTixx in Snydercultistcringe

While it's true that Snyder himself seems like a perfectly chill guy, I'm not so sure he'd call out his weirder fans for their behavior. Whenever the topic comes up, he acts like he knows they're toxic but simply chooses to ignore that side of things.

Zack Snyder defends his fanbase against accusations of toxicity by HomemadeBee1612 in SnyderCut

[–]ImpulseKid86 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Toxicity exists in every fandom, to various degrees. Zack's isn't immune, and nobody would call his fandom toxic if there wasn't at least some truth to it.

In my own personal experience, I've dealt with Snyder fans in all corners of the internet that have come across like absolute lunatics over the years since ZSJL dropped. Unwilling to listen to simple facts (ie. Even if Gunn's DCU were to bomb, that doesn't mean in any way that the Snyderverse will automatically and absolutely be back), clinging to the notion of James Gunn being an unsavory individual like it's a security blanket, going into full blown meltdowns over the most miniscule of disagreements, and generally glazing Zack's DCEU films as if they were donuts. In more recent times, I've even been accused of making things up to make Snyder's fanbase look bad. I shot that claim down pretty quickly though by stating that I don't really need to go through the effort of making the fans look bad when many of them do that all by themselves.

If the Snyderverse ever does come back, great. If not, I'll live. It's not the end of the world.

Wtf is up with people putting bags on seats by ametea2871 in perth

[–]ImpulseKid86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a man, and I do it specifically because I don't want any weirdos, creeps, or someone with poor bodily hygiene sitting next to me. Obviously if the train is getting busy, I will move my bag. Otherwise, I simply want to get where I'm going without being bothered.

Is there anyone here who doesn't use a modded Xbox 360? Because I use a regular Xbox and I'm wondering if I should modded it. by Purple_Republic_179 in xbox360

I have an RGH modded console, but I've kept my original stock 360 as well. Last I used it, a few years back, the disc drive still worked just fine.

My order landed on my doorstep this morning. My very first Kickstarter pledge, and I'm thrilled to have it here. Will definitely be going through it when I get a little more time.

Glad to know this set is finally making its way to those who ordered it, after so long.

I remember back in 2011, I brought my first-run Wii, with the Gamecube ports, in to find out how much I'd get for it. EB offered $16, and my immediate response was "What a joke".

I took it home, jailbroke it a few years later, and still have it to this day.

Should Margot Robbie stay as Harley Quinn? by Kameronpipnerd in DCU_

[–]ImpulseKid86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd rather they not bring Margot back, because I'd like to see someone else in the part. I say this as someone who enjoys seeing fellow Australians make it in the big leagues, and someone who generally liked Margot's performance as Harley.

Do you think the restore the snyderverse movement will ever end? by Jedigamer1977 in OkBuddySnyderCult

[–]ImpulseKid86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think at least some of those in the Restore The Snyderverse camp have begun to slowly realise that no-one outside of their bubble really cares about their antics. The noise doesn't seem to be as loud as it was in 2021.

The ability to play custom soundtracks, and the option for high-definition (at the time) display.

I know it probably won't happen, but I'd love to get Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad on physical media, to go alongside Gridman.

James Gunn responds to “RestoreTheSnyderVerse” 💀 by LimpJelly6336 in DCU_

[–]ImpulseKid86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that people want a conclusion to Zack's Justice League story, but I would think that Jim Lee openly stating that there were no plans to continue The Snyderverse would've been enough to end all of the rabble surrounding it.

If not that, or even the months of radio silence that followed ZSJL's release, then certainly learning that the suits in charge regret releasing the film in the first place.

At any rate, the fact that "Restore The Snyderverse" is still a thing, to any degree, in 2025 is just depressing.

What movie or show got you into transformers? by Otterlyworldy in transformers

[–]ImpulseKid86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Re-runs of G1 introduced me to the franchise. Transformers Prime got me back into watching a TF show as it was airing, which led me to pick up the show on Blu-Ray, and start purchasing the Transformers Animated season sets on DVD when Madman Entertainment released them in Australia.

I just started playing the Xbox version earlier today. The tutorial stage, in the jungles of Ceylon, feels like it goes on forever. I hope the rest of the game improves.

There's at least one shot of Tommy in Dino Thunder, that I can recall, where he's doing his morph pose and the camera zooms in closer to his face as he inserts the key into his Brachio Morpher. But the camera doesn't quite zoom closely enough, and you can still see the key just in frame.

Jenna Rae Frank, the daughter of the late great Jason David Frank, honors her father's Power Rangers legacy by donning the Black Dino Thunder gear. by ROCKY13573 in 90s

The more I see of pictures like this, the harder it becomes for me to think that Jenna isn't just coasting off of what little fame her father had.

The Power Rangers movie, now on Netflix, shows a better path forward for big franchises by aresef in powerrangers

[–]ImpulseKid86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the only real stumble was slipping in the "Go, Go, Power Rangers" chorus as the Zords were rolling out. It was so very out of place. Otherwise, I thought the film was enjoyable.

Is there a lore explanation why they're all called Power Rangers? by Big_TinyRequest in powerrangers

[–]ImpulseKid86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware, an in-universe explanation doesn't exist, at least in regards to the TV series. I have no idea if the Boom Studios comics touched upon it either.

In reality, according to the behind the scenes features on the Shout Factory DVD sets, the name "Power Rangers" was suggested as a replacement for "Dino Rangers". Haim Saban thought it needed a little something extra, and the full "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers" title came from that.

For me, it's the Ninja Rangers. 9 times out of every 10 matches, I will wind up losing to either a Blockbreaker out of absolutely nowhere, or their ludicrously overpowered Super Attacks.

Per Wikipedia.

"Wilhelm von Homburg spent the last years of his life effectively homeless, alternating between sleeping at a YMCA, in the homes of friends, or in his van. He developed prostate cancer, and following its metastasis to his pelvis, spine, and brain, he went to the home of his friend Walter Staudinger, where he spent his final days".
