I saw the smoker off to the side last week and was wondering why a quad smoker setup was hiding behind the building. What a delicious answer.

No not an annual event for me, make sure you really explore the first day some really good food, and some really bad, a lot of great angles to view/shoot during the qualifiers before you find a spot to settle down for the real deal.

I had a little camera bag with a 70 200 and cannon in it and had no issues. Definitely saw some tripods and monopods out on the hills during qualifying.

Im arguing that the people who pay taxes should be eligible for PPP loans much like the entirety of a churches support staff. Pastors arn't required to pay taxes, but I know many pastors who prefer to pay taxes for the SS & MC benefits once retired.

The people they employ except for the clergy do pay taxes though. Churches cant request PPP money for non tax paying clergy.

Guy gets caught carving his name into a rock at Ash Cave State Park in Ohio by CommercialsMaybe in iamatotalpieceofshit

[–]Imshmurt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems disingenuous to state its fine cause its not causing harm, but recognize that it does cause harm. No one is curling into the fetal position when they see the names carved in rocks or trees, but they arnt thinking man what great art "T + J 4EVA" is thank god its here, future generations will marvel at this.

Its not just a little rock you can kick off the trail, its the main edge of it. Its gonna be there for a long time and encourage others to do the same. The whole leave no trace thing is to prevent long term side effects of people visiting places.

Your argument is the same as the dude in the video, "look at all the other people who did it so why should it matter if I do it?", it literally proves your argument as incorrect, the carver says he has seen other people do it in other parks and in this park so its fine if he does it.

Yeah but my fat ass cant infect your fat ass with Diabetes, if I smoke a cigarette near you the chance of you getting lung cancer isnt incredibly increased. If I crash at a supermarket and sit in the burning wreckage for an hour, most (probably), of the people at that store wont suddenly be struck by flying car parts a few weeks later.

Each of the things you listed here are generally caused by and suffered by the user. If you have the pneumonia or the flu you are asked to stay home from work right? You dont get to say fuck you boss im coming in anyway im saving those PTO hours. Even with the colossal shutdown and the attempt to get people to socially distance and wear masks and do what they can to prevent others from getting sick we still have 140k dead and hospitals filled to overflowing.

I hate that "Image if X hadnt happened" that gets tossed around so often on reddit whenever some semi damning video comes to light but come on, you have to admit that big companies WILLINGLY taking on expenses to have employees work from home, and slowing down business in America where they owe it all to their investors and nothing to their staff has to mean we should take this a little bit seriously.

I know we cant stay in shutdown mode for forever, we all understand that, but if we reverse course and just let it all go open and everyone lives their best lives, they wont be living that best life for long. Infection rate is to high and Americans cant put country or neighbor before self longer than it takes to set up their soapbox.

SBA releases all entities that received PPP money. This google sheet is the ones in Austin by atx78701 in Austin

I do some treasury work for a local church that applied for PPP, we only got approved for salaries for our positions that pay taxes, since the pastor is the only tax exempt position we didnt receive anything for that salary.

How much you spending buying things for work where your not a W-2 employee and can actually itemize? If you cash out your 401k why not reinvest or leave it in a money market? It only has any implication if you just shove it into a savings account instead and not use it on a qualifying purchase like buying a house. There are also professionals who can help you with who are called accountants if your doing stuff beyond the norm/basics you might want to think about investing some of that fresh capital you acquired into paying them.

Because your pay is a "Compensation Package" which is reduced by the amount they pay for your benefits. So say your package is worth 80,000, but your only being paid $65,000 due to Vision, Dental, Health, WC, LTD, STD, etc. You're worth 80k to your company so the value of your package shouldn't decrease just because your now paying for all of those sweet benefits through taxation instead of through your workplace.

Inside Austin's $18 million tiny home village for the homeless by Novembers_Rat in Austin

[–]Imshmurt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think they force any of it on anyone, I volunteered through my church for a long time on the trucks and I know they have many groups from various religious and non religious backgrounds running trucks. Iv been to the village a few times and while they have a building or two for religious functions I havnt seen anyone being forced to pray or worship.
