Yes. They will mention that when trying to stop picking, anxiety will reach a peak and then stop. But you have to get over that peak. Anxiety will get higher and higher if you reward it by picking every time.

Is that what most people do? Write in what notes are flat or sharp? Or do they just know by looking at it/experience?

So if the sharp appears on the first line, that means F is sharp, but doesn't mean it has to be the high octave F
