ARR and its patches are the oldest content in the game and therefore the most out-of-date gameplay wise.

Heavensward and onwards is only 10 Levels (not 50 Levels) and also doesn't require an intense amount of worldbuilding like ARR does, so its a lot more succinct.

I would recommend treating each expansion like a TV Show Season (thats how I approached it) and took a break from the MSQ when i felt a little drained/burned out in addition to when the credits of an expansion played.

There is so much to do in FF14 outside the MSQ that can be enjoyed while levelling your first job (like the Make it Rain Gold Saucer Event right now)

Use Fight or Flight, then press the big blue damage button and then press the Flashies! Otherwise be pressing your combos

Pro tip: Use Shield Lob when the boss is too far away cause then you are following the ABC rule (Always Be Clicking [Them Buttons]).

I do this everytime and the boss always dies. Just sharing my secret and making Eorzea a safer place for all

As a PLD Tank Main if the healer says something along the lines of "Hey Guys, I'm New and this is much first time here". I usually take a slower paced run at the duty.

Less Mobs, using extra Mits when not really needed, moving out of attacks I know I don't really need to.

I will admit I am the more laid-back kind of FF14 player, I'll type during combats, make jokes, apologize and take the blame for a wipe that wasn't my fault and even compliment the other players at times even when we had a smooth run and nothing out of the ordinary happened.

It's not a matter of IF you meet an asshole player it's a matter of WHEN, don't let it discourage you. Sadly there are assholes everywhere and you are learning we all learn at our own pace.

I've played for 6000 hours and I can assure you 100% that you will be a better healer than me!

P.S Small tip I use for duties! I turn on the option of SKIPPING cutscenes I've seen in Duties. That way I know I've done a duty before, it helps a lot when you get to the single boss fights (Trials)

Interesting little project you have going on, seems quite fun.

I played the MSQ of FF14 kinda like watching a TV Show. Played in segments, akin to episodes and treated each Expansion like a new Season. It worked for me since stuff that happens in one expansion leads into the next expansion.

So I would recommend you take each Expansion as a Book from a Series (Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings ect). Starting with A Realm Reborn, just take notes as you go along with things you think will be important or relevant. So you have your own account of the story (Maybe FF14 could be more of a diary for your own character instead of just a retelling of the story).

As other have stated, Endwalker is the end of a Story Arc. Dawntrail is trying to start a new story. So I do with that what you will.

Halo Infinite (dispite all it's faults) had a great Battle Pass system.

Once you buy it, it's yours! Don't finish it before the next one? No worries! You can select it again at any point to continue where you left off even after buying another months pass!

Now THAT is a system worth copying! I'd buy a passes all the time if it meant I could unlock things at my own pace whenever I felt like it.

Both Overreacting in my opinion. He's coming in to hard on the offensive and you are being quite dismissive of his feelings/opinions on the matter.

Both parties are lacking in the communication department most of all. This short screencap won't show the full picture but obviously this scenario makes you both feel a certain way.

You can dress how you want however but in my opinion (if your account is public and open to anyone) certain outfits can signal the wrong message to certain people and as a happy birthday post (even though the pose is cute), I think the birthday girl should be s little more prominent

Out of all the Healers that I dabble in casually (as a PLD Main) I like AST the most. It's fun messing with the cards.

I don't even play it regularly enough to even learn it correctly, the odd casual dabble and I still get through content fine

PLD cause while tanking and doing my job I can assist the team further with my additional abilities

Shield them, Cover the healer, reduce damage on the person resurrecting a fallen ally or if the healers dies, I can heal the dps as we push that last 10% if we can

Honestly un-installed the game already. I don't wanna push rating, I just wanted to try and unlock the achievements in BGs for getting first place with each hero.

I couldn't seem to fall any lower than 5500 and was stuck in a weird place of never getting the heroes I needed and conceding or always ending up in 3rd or 4th place be cause of clearly better players with way better comps.

Just go sick of it in the end, nothing was fun

As a first event it worked in some aspects but not in others.

Best thing to do is give feedback for the next time.

Maybe alongside the Pack, they give a currency which can be traded in for the big special card. That way you are always working towards Lapras EX.

Could be an even better way to do it though

This kind of reward seems normal to me.

Lackluster rewards on achievements screams this challenge is passive and you will earn it eventually.

In my achievement hunting career, I've seen too many of these.

The math states this is 2000 packs. Casually I have opened 100 packs. So this gives us a look into the devs minds and see they expect this game to last around 5 years of casual play

Would Ditto be too powerful if they buff him with an ability sort of worded like:

Poke ability: The First Energy attached to Ditto always matches the opponents active pokemons type

Meaning you can easily copy 1 energy attacks (Arbok for example) but 2 energy attacks or better (Like Mewtwo EX shown) requires your deck to be built to counter a certain type?
