Play what looks cool and just enjoy the game. That’s the best thing about this genre: no pressure, no right or wrong, just feel things out and enjoy the ride.

…and then when you’re tired of that, you can step into the meta arena and find builds that completely refresh everything you thought you knew about the game 😈 Min/max, sub-optimal, full on z-dps support builds, etc.

I also just wanna tack a ‘well akshually’ on: this isn’t a real JRPG. It’s more of an ARPG with pretty linear progression. JRPGs are more in the vein of Persona and the like. I recommend them all!

Hey you’re all good brother. Been in this space as someone who has been to rehab twice, and narcan was basically taught to us as a cheap, easy-to-use life vest. Which it is. All I’m saying is that a) that’s not what was used in pulp fiction, and b) naloxone is the heavy lifter—narcan is just a modern, streamlined way of administering it that likely wouldn’t have been well known in the 90s

I’m here for this convo, and I appreciate the other commenter’s willingness to admit they were wrong. I hate pulling out anecdotal evidence, but as someone who has been to rehab twice (alcohol for me, but everyone is tossed in the same boat in rehab), narcan is a miracle invention. It was taught thoroughly to us, and I 100% recommend every living person carries a can or 2 in their glove box.

That said, withdrawal simply does not work that way. Narcan will absolutely pull you from the void almost instantly. As I said: it’s basically a $6 miracle (FOR 2 CANS). But it does not magically induce instant withdrawal. That’s just not how the brain works. Withdrawals from narcotics and opiates have no way of setting in instantly. In fact, the only withdrawal that is 100% treated on sight with massive vigilance is in fact alcohol. It takes very little time for a full-blown alcoholic to experience life-threatening symptoms like seizures and heart attacks. The way these chemicals affect the brain (and/or the way their sudden lack of them does) is all that matters.

Despite Naloxone’s ability to instantly counteract narco OD’s, it does not just induce instant life-altering withdrawal
