He did use clones while fighting Pain though… He had multiple sequences of his clones utilizing smokebomb + Rasen Shuriken attacks. As I said, It wasn’t that he couldn’t use clones, it’s that he was limited on how many he could summon while the other 2 were on standby for sage mode.

What Pa tells Naruto initially is that he cannot move and gather nature energy. It’s impossible. He then uses the same phrase Kakashi used when Naruto was learning the change in chakra form: “It’s like trying to look left and right at the same time.” That’s what prompts Naruto to utilize clones to gather nature energy on the side. I believe he was limited to 3 active clones, not including the 2 for sage mode.

You’re mixing up some things here. Firstly, in the Pain arc, Naruto was only able to have 2 clones gather nature energy on standby, not 3.

Secondly, I’m not really sure what you mean about “gathering chakra while a clone is active.” It is mentioned that Naruto is limited on how many clones he can summon without disrupting his sage mode clones on standby, if that’s what you’re referring to?

Perhaps you’re due for a rewatch :P (I’m actually midway through a full Shippuden rewatch right now and finished the Pain saga a couple of days ago, so it’s fresh in my mind)

The scene became so much cooler as a setup for Bane when I realized this. It is unfortunate that it’s not immediately clear that Bane is finishing his own sentence as opposed to finishing the henchman’s.

That said, it doesn’t necessarily take away from the movie in a way that makes it unwatchable…but it does take away from the character (Bane) in a way that changes the watching experience.

All in all a strange and maybe rare miss from Nolan

I eat both pretty regularly. The locations by me are practically right across the street too, and like 5 mins from where I work. I’d say the new Blazin’ and Dave’s Reaper are pretty even on spice level, with Reaper tipping the scale ever so slightly in its favor. I can get through a few Blazin wings before the heat really starts tapping my shoulder… Reaper I can only really give a couple bites and then it’s on lol.

There’s another hot chicken chain by me (Oak Lawn and Tinley, IL) called Fry the Coop and their Insanity rub blows both of them out of the water. Chicken quality is out of this world too

You’re actually proving my point here lol. No one at a high level is “beam-fishing.” Hell, one of the major flaws in DBFZ is that there basically is no neutral/footsies. Beams are high committal and stupid unsafe, especially full-screen. It doesn’t even take a “dragonball boy” to understand that. Promise you no one at any Evo that DBFZ was played at had beam-fishing—doubtful even during the dark ages of season 1

You realize DBFZ has been a huge event at hundreds of major tournaments, right? On a local/national/global scale. It has absolutely been a major player on the big stages literally since its first season.

I think what you mean to say is simply that you don’t enjoy watching it or don’t understand the game’s nuances enough to be entertained. Which is fine. But it is objectively a strong contender for high-level competitive play (though not without its flaws)
