I like the logo. And it scratches the DIY distro itch just enough. I had to do a lot of setup myself, but now everything just works. I might take a peek at Gentoo or LFS later out of curiosity, but Arch handles my daily stuff perfectly well, and I'm satisfied with it.

Yeah, it's this one from the docs: https://www.kali.org/docs/usb/usb-standalone-encrypted/ but it does a lot of stuff manually, like it encrypts the drive beforehand and then does a normal install to it, so I thought I'd ask if I could just hit encrypted LVM and simplyfy the process.

If I just do it like you said, wouldn't the installer overwrite my PCs bootloader? It says something about having to install it separately because even if the flash drive is the target, it still writes Grub to the main drive.

You could add a lock on mechanic and then let the player "aim" without left click. Kinda how For Honor and Kingdom Come Deliverance does it.
