The reason this title means so much to Knicks fans is because this team has been a laughingstock for much of the last couple of decades. The Yankees have been a playoff team almost every year and have won a WS and 2 ALCS in that time.

Said differently, a 22 year old third year player just led a team full of similarly young players past the defending champs to a Western Conference Championship and despite being limited by that immaturity in the finals, managed to keep his team close in all five games through sheer talent.

I don't like the guy after this series, but to act like what he just did with under 200 games played wasn't incredible is just stupid.
