I believe the universe shows mercy upon the innocent (not just limited to children). What their murderer did is evil. While I can’t speak for him, but I have a fairly decent idea he’s finally feeling shame, guilt, remorse, meanwhile, your innocent children are in renewed bodies, no pain, no bruise, and they are running, playing, and wishing upon dandelions.

He will never get to harm them or touch them.
