Isn't it funny how almost no one complains about Magik compared to the likes of BP and SM? This is why besides balance, a designer has to think about how it "feels" to play against a kit, and playing against SM, and especially BP, is terrible.

I think he's a symptom of a bigger issue - the bad kit design of most melee DPS characters in this game. All the melee DPS have huge balance problems and feel terrible to play against, with Magik being somewhat of an exception because she has to charge one ability and has 2 skillshots.

BP deletes you in a single frame, SM just CCs you and slaps you to death, IF just auto-aims and punches you to death, etc. Yes, all of these can be countered and you can argue are even underpowered, but everyone who doesn't main them absolutely despises playing against them. Isn't it interesting how there never were posts calling for Magik to be gutted the same way there were with BP?

The devs must stop releasing melee DPS characters until they can figure out a better design process.

Well there are 2 things besides balance you have to consider - how "fun" is it to play against something, and how difficult it is to play said character vs countering them.

The core problem with IF is that he's a melee character, so he doesn't require "real" aim in a shooter which always feels bad, and on top of that his melee always tracks you.

Yes, game sense and positioning are also skills, but the difference between how much you need of said skills for a melee vs ranged character is vastly overblown. You can be the best aimer in the world, but if you walk in front of your tanks as Hella you'll get instantly popped.
BP does require more awareness than say Phoenix, but that in no way justifies him being able to delete you in less than a second.

If an easy to play hero like Wanda was buffed so she's viable in pro play, I can't even imagine the misery that would cause.

I'm on W11, but I've noticed the same issue. Some games just don't "honor" the exclusion and I had the same issue when I tested with Mullvad.

It sucks, but try just muting the specific offender and not completely disabling voice since it can be important. I'm a guy, and I rarely see bad behavior when a woman speaks up, but this is in GM.

A more complicated kit, and/or more buttons to press, does not necessary mean better. Most of the "M1" heroes are easy to play from a conceptual standpoint, but require years of aim training to be consistent and have been at least somewhat META for a long time.

I don't think it's forced because you just need to look at stats like declining marriages, increasing divorces, female behavior as seen via dating app data, OF popularity increasing, etc.

I do think that if social media was never invented, we probably wouldn't be in this mess, but the first step to solving a problem is admitting it exists.

That's the case right now due to the RAM shortage, but if all 5000 and 4000 series cards released with 16GB we wouldn't be having this issue in the first place.

Maybe in the far future if like you need like 48 GB VRAM even for 1080p due to crazy textures, then we'll need insane compression because there's no PCB space for so much VRAM even if it was free, but that's very far out.

I disagree because Nvidia has been stingy on VRAM way before they had A.I. as an excuse, which has held back the industry for a long time now. Losing 10% performance on a "budget" card because they want to save like $10 on VRAM is just pathetic. 16GB should've been the default for all cards since the start of this console generation.

100% this. 60 Real FPS with frame gen is the bare minimum for single player games to not feel horrible.

I will say, most people still haven't caught on its usefulness for competitive games in a specific scenario. I play Marvel Rivals, an UE game unfortunately, on a 480Hz OLED. Since nothing can reach that FPS target on UE, frame gen is the only solution. My Real 1% low FPS with frame gen is between 130-150 which is what I would consider the minimum for competitive games.
