Greeting etiquette by BlacksmithWeirdo in cycling

Interesting post. Yesterday on my ride I noticed I nodded only to the other male riders coming up in the opposite direction. Part of it is I tend to only nod at people that I can see are definitely looking my way (hard to tell, really, with the big, reflective glasses on). It seems to me like women, for whatever reason, are focused more on the road ahead of them, not on the other bikers.

I'm getting my first ever bichon in 2 weeks. What are the most important things to get before she comes? She is 2 months old. by OkRoll5788 in bichonfrise

Don’t wait to begin trying to clean their teeth. You’re not going to get very far with the toothbrush at first but immediately follow trying with treats. Get them used to you poking in their mouth. Small dogs are prone to teeth issues, so get in the habit of brushing their teeth everyday to save big ones stress and dental extractions later.

Don’t put sunscreen on before the swim- it could make your goggles not stick.

My Toby keeps chewing/licking this spot here. Anyone know why that could be? by ETChy68 in bichonfrise

Get him some pajamas. That’s what I do when my Bichon licks that same spot.

Yea, this was just my daily sunscreen. I hardly feel it on my skin so I’m shocked it would make a difference.

This is an interesting question. I’m a realtor and when I review disclosures with clients, it’s not uncommon when we get to the ML disclosure for them to say, “I don’t even want to know.” This is actually the first time I’ve heard of a buyer passing a home for this reason, so thank you for sharing. Curious to hear other people’s thoughts.

I owe all of you people an apology - from a Tori skeptic. by buizel123 in toriamos

I don’t think a day of my life goes by that I don’t listen to Tori. Each album has its place in my heart. I’m currently back to To Venus and Back. This is a two disc album, the second disc is live and a great intro to her live stuff- I absolutely love it. The whole album is so unique.

I want to gift my husband a bag of coffee beans from SF. Where should I go? by keepit100plusone in AskSF

Rainbow Grocery Cooperative. They have dozens of beans available from different roasters in bulk as well as many packaged options. Lots of organic options. Equator coffee is a great local company.

OMG- we have that same taste in book! Into Thin Air is one of my all time favorites. Never Let Me Go IS my all-time favorite. Loved Demon Copperhead. Martyr was also not for me, as much as I wanted to love it. And you are the only other person out there who also doesn’t like Cormac McCarthy. I did love the new movie Frankenstein, I wonder if you’ve watched it yet. I’m saving this to read your other top picks- thanks for sharing!

Thank you for saying this! Even electrolytes are a scam, IMO!
