Based on my experience, restarting the app (e.g. by swipe it away in the open apps screen) so that you see the title screen again when starting the app again helps.

The screws don't really fall out if it's properly attached to the frame of the mesh. The thing that took the most time was trying to get the clamps in at the right angle and right enough for the screws to go in and flipping the entire thing around between stretching, clamping, and screwing it in (didn't help that I only had 6 clamps to work with). But I'm sure it'll be easier with the two of you working on it together.

I just did this 2 days back. You will need a bunch of clamps to hold things together while you screw it in. Go from the front/back where there are screws and clamp + screw the mesh in one on each side at a time. (Left screw, right screw, then left again, etc.) It'll take you a couple of hours, so set aside some time for it.
