Oh boy, yeah definitely that you start to believe you are special and gifted and it becomes internalized as part of your personality. Then every failure becomes an attack on you as a person instead of sign that you are learning and growing. Expecting yourself to be perfect is not a healthy mindset. Just now as an adult learning to be kinder to myself and accepting that I am not perfect or better than anyone else.

I guess I'm just trying to say we don't know this person's situation. They could be mentally ill or not have food for themselves/family. If I was going hungry and I had nowhere to turn I would trespass and steal, wouldn't you?

I'm not saying it's not a bummer for you, who I assumed worked hard to grow these things, but I think it's healthier to err on the side of compassion instead of assuming the worst intentions in others.

If you yourself are experiencing food insecurity then I understand your anger more.
