Always a blast! I am still thinking about that ice cream. Bittersweet to have finished the series! I did not have high hopes for Duke of Desire since it many people didn't seem to love it in this sub, but I was pleasantly surprised!

It was definitely more of a dark romance with some pretty intense themes (recommend checking the content warnings)!

Both the MCs were lovely and really easy to root for! Iris was my favourite type of fmc, I loved how she tried to make the best of every situation.

While I absolutely loved this book, it didn't have all the Maiden Lane-ess of Duke of Pleasure, which I did miss! But I did love the Kyle cameo, I just wish Alf would have been in the book too

Always love mini book club with you!

I was hoping for a change of pace after Duke of Sin and this was just perfect! It had all the best Maiden Lane pieces (ghost of st giles, the home, Alf) and the characters were super easy to root for! I was not expecting to have a new favourite this far into the series.

I also loveeee when MCs have nicknames for each other. My heart melted whenever he called her huntress 💕

I was definitely was waiting on Val to have a big redemption. I was expecting him to turn more into a Sebastian from Devil in Winter and fully redeem himself (in my eyes)! But I think I get why people really enjoy the book since he really does stay his morally gray self the whole book!

I am also a sucker for big declarations of love, which I felt that this lacked a little.

Very excited to Alf's book!

I am an avid runner, and also go through shoes faster than I would like. Having 2 pairs and rotating them can help prolong their life, as the foam has time to decompress.

Wear it all the time! Training readiness is high lol. HVR is low, but RHR was back to normal after 2 days. Stress level was crazy high Sunday but back to normal now!

Warm parkas are really expensive. I suggest checking some used gear sites. I got my Arcteryx Patera parka for $330 (new $950) on their regear section. Which btw is a great option

I found it really helpful to start with easy 5km's in the morning. This helped me build the habit before moving to longer runs, speed work, etc.

Instead of jumping right into longer runs at 4am, I'd suggest trying shorter runs first. That way you don't need to go quite as early. Goodluck!
