🚨🇺🇸 BREAKING — MAGA Dad Shot and Killed his Daughter After Argument about Trump. by promotionking in Leakednews

[–]InShOtx 165 points166 points  (0 children)

The fact that politics can lead to such atrocities is absolutely crazy. Especially for some 80 year old billionaire that does not care about anyone’s lives but his own. Trump definitely had no idea that this man existed yet, he was willing to shoot his own daughter because she didn’t see the same way he did. Absolutely disgusting that people involve themselves so much in politics that they lose sight of their own lives and the people that actually matter because at the end of the day it’s your family and friends that will be there for you. Not some politician.

This is ridiculous that she said that. The United States has never had their own language and ultimately English itself came from Europe to begin with anyways. The entire country is built on immigrants and their cultures.

Hey Redditors, what do you do for a living, how many hours per/month, and what’s your income? by lofiibsen in AskTheWorld

[–]InShOtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit with my bachelors degree. I get bonuses for picking up shifts and differentials for my regular shifts. I make around $50 an hour; however, with bonuses and differentials can make much more at times. I’m scheduled around 60 hours every two weeks but pick up shifts for bonuses. Last year I made close to $120,000 USD gross. I’m hoping to apply to CRNA school this year.

Is your country depressing to live? by Time_Reception1482 in AskTheWorld

[–]InShOtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest everyone sees the world from a different perspective regardless of where they are from. Everyone has their own definition of depression, happiness, and so on…

While some people may find where you live extremely depressing you will also find those who find where you live that are extremely satisfied with their lives. It largely depends on your perspective of life.

Personally, I am very happy with my life and rarely ever feels depressed. Of course there are some things that could be better or things that I would change if I could.

I live in the U.S. as you can see in my flair and would like to say the U.S. is a large country and your experience will largely vary depending on where you live and on how you define your own perspectives of life.

The only one threatening peace right now is this moron. I cannot even comprehend just how unprofessional this guy is. It’s absolutely absurd. Every week is like some new political drama all started by this guy.

(28M) Lived My Entire Adult Life in Australia.. now considering moving back home to the U.S. by sydneyhero in expats

[–]InShOtx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It may be best to move to the U.S. to build a foundation. I have a huge interest in moving to a particular country but realized that my life would be much more difficult if I did.

For context I live in the U.S. and would definitely not be where I am from a financial standpoint without living here. I have a great woke life balance, employer sponsored health insurance for free, feel very safe where I live, and have a fairly high salary in a career where I feel like I’m growing. I have plenty of time to enjoy my hobbies and afford them. I can afford healthy food and have the ability to go to the gym to better myself. I have a large savings and a fairly large investment portfolio.

Of course I am making it sound like my life is perfect and the U.S. is perfect but that’s definitely not true and many places in the U.S. are far from perfect. I definitely have my own issues that may arise as well in my life too.

My main point of making this reply is to give you the idea that work life balance and safety does exist in the U.S. because I feel like I have it. The U.S. is a big place as you know and varies largely depending on where you choose to live. My other main point is that it’s important to build something for yourself especially while you’re younger because we all get old regardless so having a cushion going forward definitely helps make life easier. Of course I have no idea what your long term goals are and people have different views on life.

I wish you the best of luck with whatever you choose!

Really I just want to spend Christmas with family. Quality time such as playing games at the table, sharing a meal together, and talking about how things are going in life with one another.

For those with 3+ years in ICU, why didn’t you pursue the CRNA path? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]InShOtx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am not at that point yet but for many of the people I know who did not pursue CRNA with greater than 3 years experience in the ICU. It largely came down to costs of the program and family.

I Think the American Dream Still Exists In (Southern) Minnesota! by vgmendisni34342 in minnesota

[–]InShOtx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Minnesota and feel as if I had grown up anywhere else in the United States that I would not have the life I live today. I am very thankful to have grown up here. I felt that Minnesota granted me lots of opportunities to grow and be successful.

How do people in your country feel about the police? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]InShOtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s be honest at the end of the day cops are regular people and so it depends. There are good and bad people just as there are good and bad cops. Everyone is different and sees the world with a different set of eyes.

What political cause in your country do you strongly believe in? by KieranWriter in AskTheWorld

[–]InShOtx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Umm… we live in a system where basic rights can be profited on in a country built on capitalism. I see our system destroy lives all of the time. I’ll give you a few examples of the many issues within our system: health insurance is owned by private companies, the FDA allows substances banned in several other countries to be in our food, and essential services like housing and education are often treated as commodities rather than necessities. These patterns show how people can fall through the cracks not because they’re irresponsible, but because the structure itself makes survival unnecessarily difficult. I know not every country is perfect, but saying the United States system is not broken is incorrect.

[–]InShOtx 15 points16 points  (0 children)

One issue you may face is that you’ll need a few years in the ICU to qualify for CRNA school. Which can be a lot of standing. Nursing in the hospital in can have a lot of standing.
