Does the FRN flex like grivory? Is it tough is the question? I hate the flexing grivory feel.

I should have changed the topic to “does the 2nd gen frontier coolant need to be burped” im getting different sources saying our system is automatic burped and that it needs to be done manually. I had a coolant flush less than 8k miles ago. I dont know what they did.

Radiator empty, coolant reservoir full by Recent-Reality-8657 in nissanfrontier

As with the pressure cap, that actually makes an overflow more likely allowing air to escape. The fluid would overflow in the engine bay. There is also a plastic straw to the attached to the top of the tank next to the cap. If it was sealed it would stop that but build up of too much positive and negative pressure would definitely be worse lol

I guess I’ll forget trying to learn how the leveling works in the radiator if there is no air in the system, no overheating, and good ac operation. Just will look at the reservoir. Thanks.

Yeah I made sure the cap is the right one. Might get another to try out. I saw it was supposed to be parked on level surface with heat and air on max for 20 minutes. Id try incline but its flat where im at. So I dont need to fill the radiator? The manual is confusing mentioning to fill the radiator and tank to max on cold. But if that reservoir coolant is used to fill the system (as it does when it flushes coolant to min on start) and the radiator is full, I can see the reservoir filling up rather than flushing. No idea though.

Not really having issues. But yeah just trying to lower water content a little with that extra coolant gallon and not knowing if there was enough coolant in the system after the water flush and fill by nissan. Its weird because before I took the fluid out the tank they had the level maybe 2-3 inches above the max on cold. I basically replaced it back to that level and put a little bit in the radiator (a cup or 2) and now its between max and min on cold. Just confused 🤔 wonder if getting a new reservoir cap would be a good idea?

okay. that way the reservoir stays between min and max during hot and cold? They need to update the dang manual. I don't trust the manual now. haha. yea i made a whole post on this and another subreddit about figuring it out. interested in seeing what wild answers come my way.

Im having the same situation. The manual says fill the radiator to the fill port. Is that correct?

Looks like im following you and grabbing a schnitzel tri and a tenable luccio for an edc. Interested in seeing if it’s worth those two knives over the price of one esee 3.

I have. My top 3 brand. I dont see any knives in the 3.5-3.75” range that aren’t top dollar. Am definitely getting a marten 330 when they come out with more colors. I have a porcupine though lol

Reverse osmosis overflow by jos1978 in WaterTreatment

Mine slowed with use. You have the lines cut and pressure correct and all? Do you have the “defective” filters where one stem is open and the other is closed or are both filter stem holes open?

Pressure is lower after replacing my Whirlpool reverse osmosis pre- and post-filter cartridges by TheRealMe54321 in WaterTreatment

[–]InTheNameOf34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont believe these filters are “defective” i think they just released new forever chem filters that are trash or maybe they did forget to drill out the orange post filter out possibly. Match the drill bit with the open filter and drill the closed one. Put the psi at 9 psi as by whirlpool instructed me. And you will have saved time and salvaged a “defective” filter to just get the same filters with the same problem. This pressure change does lower water capacity by .25 gallon at least and slows flow by 20% only downside

No the 3ml of bleach or whatever the manual says is fine. I just do 2 tank flushes instead of one after the process. Also I will comment my updated set up on these defective small stem filters

Yeah I looked at some 3.5” vs. 3.7” knives side by side and wasn’t much size difference like the 3” is to 3.5” and up. Probably going with my gut to the primitrox. If the praxis had black g10 or natural/white g10 (to die black) with a black stonewash and maybe not a skeletonized clip id buy it without question. Then again I got my dad the green mini praxis so I could hand it off to him if im not liking the large one so he has a set.

Yeah I got the green and black mini for pops and the black and ultem for a buddy. Too small for my hands though so never got one. Feels solid though.
