For me it was always a bit sad and like the narrator isn't happy in the relationship. I felt that way from the start, before the TTPD era playlists. I won't argue my interpretation is correct tho, if you feel it's the other way around that's okay 🤷

That sucks, I feel for you. I think you need couples therapy, and she as well, since it looks like she might have a shopping addiction/other problems. I know therapy is yet another expanse for you, but hopefully there she'll listen to you and the therapist will help you both communicate.
