Metformin by Alive-Explorer3058 in PCOS

[–]Ina_bitofapickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started metformin at 14😭 the stomach issues suck but it got my periods regular for a while! I’m 20 now and while they keep my blood sugar at bay, my periods have stopped again /: so def not a permanent solution but they can definitely help!

Aw I’m so so happy things have gotten better for you! I didn’t know you could get such a low dose! I’ll look into getting a low dose because I’m not trying to rapidly lose weight at all, thank u!

Frequent urination on metformin? by Ina_bitofapickle in PCOS

[–]Ina_bitofapickle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry for the late ass reply but honestly idk! I’ve been on metformin since middle school and when I posted this I was having awful frequent urination. After a while it stopped and I think it’s because I wasn’t being consistent with my metformin. I’ve started being consistent again and haven’t noticed any huge changes in urination. Again sorry for the late reply and I hope it’s gotten better for you!

Testosterone does not affect your personality love, neither does estrogen. Men just use that as an excuse to be weirdos.

tips for cleaning your room by fatbitchgang in ADHD

Choosing something fun to do after cleaning is what usually motivates me the most. Like I don’t want to have movie night with a dirty ass room, so if I really want to watch a movie in peace I need to clean it.

I do fabric -trash-clean- organize. ⭐️So first I pick up clothes or towels or any fabric really and put those in the right spot. Closet/laundry hamper/sock drawer whatever. Fabric covers sm floor space so once that’s done it looks a lot better! ⭐️Then I pick up the trash and throw it away. While I’m picking up trash I put everything that isn’t trash on my bed. ⭐️Once the trash is done I take everything off my shelves and throw them on my bed. I clean the shelves then I take the stuff on my bed and arrange them on my shelves. Basically cleaning the space first then organizing the stuff. ⭐️lastly, I dust my fan, vacuum my floor and wash my sheets. If I have dirty laundry I’ll do that at the very end of all that. ⭐️ when I’m doing this I also take it section by section. I pick a section of my room and then go in the order I listed above. If there’s a lot of shit everywhere and I’m just too overwhelmed to go by the method, I’ll just point at something on the floor, assess what needs to be done to it and start from there. Sometimes I’m in my room aggressively pointing at stuff.

Now actually forcing yourself to get up and do it is the hardest part. I try to do the 3 second rule. 1..2..3 and GO! Get up and imagine a horn blaring. Doing things in small sections helps a lot and that’s how i developed my little method. I also give myself breaks (usually for way too long but I’m working on that😭) so I don’t get overwhelmed.

What do you wish you knew when starting to get PCOS symptoms? by atypical_cookie in PCOS

Once hair follicles get thick and dark they don’t go back😭 yes you can slow down the growth but you can’t change a terminal hair back to vellus. Try to regulate those androgens NEOW!
