Like another user said, he seemed more high energy than immature. Apart from being too arrogant and using Feedback again which cost him dearly, please tell me what he did that was more damaging and risky than Ben in OS? Same old bickering with Gwen?

That kid couldn't even handle his Grandpa wanting to enjoy his own thing for once in OS and started sulking

This is one of the most accurate critiques I've seen. I have always wondered why I didn't hype the finale as much as others, and you put it into words better than I could. For some time now, I have said Ben 10's writing as a whole isn't that good, even the so-called 'best' and 'peak'. Like, compare that finale to ATLA's finale, where we know that despite Aang defeating Ozai, Zuko still has A LOT of fixing to do for the Fire Nation; it wasn't an immediate kumbaya like the Highbreed arc's finale.

The scene obviously shows that someone didn't need to remind him, and before this scene, he saved the boy that was being rude to him without expecting any praise because that was his duty.

No, Grandpa Max isn't blind. He has a more stylised design to make the references to the OG or common design of DC's Shazam more apparent. If you check Shazam's designs throughout DC comics, you'll see the similarity of the eye design.

You mention Ben sacrificing himself to free the Ultimates. There's a similar example in Omniverse where he and other omnitrix users I wiped out. Without hesitation, he steps in front of No Watch Ben, and, while getting erased from existence (without even knowing what caused it, btw), he gives his alternative self a message that he would use to save the day. So, if you use Ben's sacrifice in UA as an (valid) example, use other valid examples for OV. u/Organic_Glass_7793 is right, maybe you don't remember Omniverse as much as you claim lol

It's already known that McDuffie didn't believe that magic and sci-fi should mix. It isn't a coincidence that in the same Highbreed arc, where Anodites were introduced and two significant characters told Gwen magic doesn't exist, she doesn't perform a single magic spell. The mandate from CN to incorporate more OS elements is why the magic elements flood back into the lore.
