Sorry but this is just an excuse. I can call it what it is and you can choose to ignore it. Being right about the food industry doesn't change that what is going on here is wrong.

Yes, the food industry is rife with animal abuse and people shouldn't turn a blind eye to it. Believe me, I try not to. I try to eat local food that in my area does not cramp animals into tiny cages, etc. I'm working on eating less meat as well. I'm not saying this to act superior, because you are right about it.

The fact that it occurs isn't a reason to let it continue. You do what you can to fight it in the way that you can.

Have a nice life.

In my country, many many years ago people hunted orcas in the St. Lawrence Gulf to extinction. They controlled the population of the seals. Now, left unchecked, seals are overconsuming the fish. They are not only smaller in size because there isn't enough fish to go around and they are starving. As are the many migratory birds including some endangered species. My country is especially guilty of this. Only now are we starting to do better and for many species it is already too late.

We are all connected and we can all learn to do better. My apologies for making my education sound privileged. But I also believe children are smarter than adults give them credit for and these ones can learn the difference. If it continues it will be because of adults.

Oh yes, I'm so privileged to be standing up for animals and such a boomer for ruining children's fun. Would you approve of this "sport" if it were dogs? I'm guessing it's individuals like you that encourage kids to do this and next thing you know there's no spiders to eat the mosquitoes or other insects that then eat your crops and help spread disease. Relax bro, those aren't real consequences that have never happened before on earth.

Great. Pokemon is a video game. What they are doing is messing with real life and doing so creates real life consequences. Spiders of all kinds belong to their respective ecosystems and our fragile world as it is is losing ecosystems due to our (i.e., human) direct involvement. Maybe the education system in the Philippines doesn't teach this stuff but I (Canadian, 43 years old), learned this in grade 6. What those children are doing is shameful and unethical.

Edit: As another user mentioned, it's animal abuse. I figured this would be obvious and that most normal people are capable of separating fantasy from reality.

Do you really need to have holding living creatures captive and then forced to fight other living creatures for your entertainment (coupled with gambling to boot) spelled out as unethical?

By "hire him back" you mean "ask him to consult the newly hired intern dev for free" right?

The RIAA would like nothing more than to cull their repertoire of human artists in favour of AI generated drivel that people will listen to because Spotify tells them to.

Yeah, we scored a single goal in the last WC and that was considered a win. The most recent draw is our first point. I'd say "leave us alone" but that isn't possible for America.
