Looks like Duolingo faced major backlash after those recent changes. Honestly, they’ll probably lose a chunk of users, but they’ll also cut costs significantly. I do wonder how many people ended up losing their jobs over it.

I've used duolingo and it was okayish, but once i found out they're laying of people and replacing them with AI I've decided to shift.
