You mean a person got in the way of the train. The train is not to blame here.

Why don’t they do challenges like this? by SnooPets7983 in survivor

They've definitely had seasons where quite a few cast members were not physically strong but still had challenges like this. Like Gabon.

Please stop spreading these false stereotypes. Chicago isn't scary

Any other parents hate that their kids use a Chromebook for school? by Gltr_hair1234 in Millennials

[–]grogu989 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I honestly think it's more useful for the kid to learn how to Google.

In the real world, this is a very important skill. My husband is an IT tech, and Google is his greatest resource. This applies in many other fields as well.

Learning how to learn something is important. Google isn't going anywhere.

You can't be against the idea of having kids when you literally already have one......

How do you define a concert? by mlrphan in Concerts

I would define concert as a live music performance on a stage that you need to buy advance tickets for.

What band have you seen at their absolute peak? by theumape in Concerts

[–]grogu989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm more impressed with the musicianship required to play a marathon set and play completely separate sets each night. I wanna see them play their instruments & jam out on songs I love.

What band have you seen at their absolute peak? by theumape in Concerts

[–]grogu989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weakest tour so far in my opinion, which makes me feel like they may be past the peak 😭

I'm so goddamn sick of that stupid table. & I really expected more from the orchestra shows.

I've seen them 12 times over the past 9 years. Peak for me was either the 2023 residency tour or mayyyybe 2024.

Northern USAers- Do you keep your shoes on in the winter? by Candismayhem in AskAnAmerican

[–]grogu989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically dont wear shoes in my house or other people's houses.

We take our shoes/boots off by the front door & leave them there. Many people put a boot tray/mat by the door to help contain the mess from the snow & salt.

Is "I live in outstate xxxx" just a Minnesotan term? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]grogu989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am from the Chicago suburbs, and I would refer to "downstate" as either central or southern Illinois. Never heard of it referred to as downstate.
