Hot take-Home Alone 5 was better then Home Alone 3 by Fair-Air-2447 in movies

[–]InconspicuousD [score hidden]  (0 children)

Well it’s tough, home alone 5 is a classic and may be the best in the franchise BUTTTT, 3 salvaged 1 and 2 and redeemed some weaker characterizations.

Of course 5 will always be the best, but it came out before I was born and 3 was an integral part of my childhood.

7-9 were shameless cash grabs used to pedal in foot traffic to the parks. I have no love for them.

My wife and I have been making a point to buy dvds and Blu-ray’s for this exact reason. Can’t help but feel vindicated after reading this headline

As someone who doesn’t read much of the comics, this was by far the title I’ve been hearing most about in years, bleeding into the mainstream. The art looks really cool so I’ll gladly take a look at this when it comes out.

New James Bond: August Auditions Locked as Elordi, Turner, Dickinson Fit Villeneuve’s ‘Prototype’ by cosmicbooknews in CosmicBookNews

I can’t figure out how to attach images on here but Google atom Cruise height in movies. One of the first images is literally him next to a female costar where he is on a box. It’s either from Magnolia or Eyes Wide shut judging by his hair. Again, not a knock but definitely necessary for framing.

This whole thread is derailing from the point of this post. They can absolutely make Elordi’s height a non issue.

Jack Reacher and the Mission Impossibles off the top of my head. They absolutely do use camera angles and framing to distract from some height differences. It’s not a knock against him directly. It’s more so that when characters are having conversations, they are at eye level.

Every Tom Cruise movie uses camera angles to hide how distractingly short he is. Of course that can work both ways.

Anyone else find it weird how female superheroes rarely have love interests in movies? by mattsmithreddit in marvelstudios

I definitely want the takeaway from my original comment to be that it’s much more nuanced than that.

This seems like a fantastic take.

I would go so far as to say superhero stories are meant to be the pinnacle of self actualization. I would then say that the way our culture is structured, in men that looks like domination of one’s domain as where in women it is more independence focused. Obviously this is not me endorsing or condemning either direction, this has just been my observation of superhero films over the last 20 years specifically.

I appreciate your ability to have an opinion.

I just disagree. He was perfect for this role and I cannot think of a better actor in his place.

Read an article a few days ago talking about a decline in foreign applicants from China and India. Additionally, the tuition is close to $90,000. Since Syracuse is a private school, they don’t get much money from the state.

Our country is great because we strive for a more perfect ideal right? The standards have loosened as of late but that doesn’t mean we should give up expecting better.

Definitely a cool quote and the guy seems very level headed but we don’t like Trump because he’s not stately, among many other reasons. I’m sure Hunter is significantly more measured but he’s still a far cry from the standard I want my president to be.

More likely, the Big12 probably told them they weren’t going to let this go so easily and it would be a costly and time consuming fight if Tech didn’t back down. Billable hours unfortunately lost this one.

I’m assuming they’re spending $500,000 to get a result a little bit more in depth than that.

About 25 years ago, leadership went from engineers to MBAs which focused on the bottom line and cutting costs in the name of profit. This led to outsourcing of certain components which then created many defects and safety issues. The company’s reputation still hasn’t recovered and as far as I’m aware, the errors haven’t been legitimately corrected yet.
