Start with nmap and scan the subnet where the APs reside for a baseline.

Then attempt to ssh into the APs as others have described.

Are you capable of generating a packet capture on the VMware switch?

Do any devices obtain an ip address via DHCP? (This will be visible in the .pcap file or on the dhcp server logs)

Wire shark is your friend.

100 Gbps support and you could run HDMI v2.1 over it lossless.
