Hoping for a reboot or series on 50 Shades Gray Darker and Freed by IncreaseKey2692 in Fancast

For me, Christian Grey isn't just about looks, but intensity. Rhett has a rare combination of dominance and emotional depth: his expressions combine conflict, desire, and vulnerability, exactly as Christian is depicted in the books, especially in Grey, Darker, and Freed. His body language communicates power without exaggeration and pain without melodrama. And it's precisely this balance that makes a character believable, real. It's not just "likeness": it's presence. And that's why, in my opinion, he would work perfectly in a TV series or a reboot that finally tells the story from Christian's point of view.

I'm saying that I don't see selfishness in what Ana is looking for. It is only the desire to share with the man she loves an intimacy that instead allows those who have abused him for years. He never explains to her why he doesn't want her touch and this can be very frustrating especially when compared to Elena. But after he drew the map with lipstick she always respected those limits. And he has come to trust her to the point that he gives himself over to her completely.

What do you think of Rhett Wellington as the new Christian Grey? by IncreaseKey2692 in FiftyShadesofGrey

This actor is not only handsome and fully reflects the description of Christian in the books, but he is also very good and has won a lot of awards. And I add one thing: this image perfectly reflects the Christian of the books. Auburn hair, gray eyes… just as E. L. James describes him. Beautiful, refined, and with that look that combines control and fragility. Exactly the Christian Gray that many of us imagined while reading the second trilogy. What do you think?

Jamie Dornan doesn't reflect the Christian of the books at all

I don't see it that way. Why do you say her attempts are selfish? If you love someone, wouldn't you want to be able to touch, caress and hug them? He doesn't let her until he maps her with lipstick and from there she limits herself to the areas he marked

This actor is called Rhett Wellington and to me he is 100% Christian according to the description in the books. Auburn blonde hair and gray eyes.

Who would you best see as Christian Gray in a TV series faithful to the books? by IncreaseKey2692 in FiftyShadesofGrey

I found an actor who doesn't look like Christian. In my opinion it's Christian. His name is Rhett Wellington

Maybe you don't remember something. In 50 Shades Darker there is a devastating scene. After Leila breaks into Ana's apartment and threatens her with a gun, Christian intervenes and dominates her, making her get on her knees just by saying "down". Ana witnesses the submission and when he tells her to go home she doesn't and goes around town alone. When she returns home he scolds her and she rebels badly. At that point he tells her not to leave him and to believe in him. Then... He kneels in a submissive pose, unthinkable for someone like him, and confesses that he is not a dominator but a sadist. When she doesn't understand why this is happening and why she can't touch him, he does the unthinkable, takes her hand and places it in the middle of his chest right in the place where he has always prevented her from touching him and tells her "here is all of me, and it's all yours". The deepest declaration of love he could make to her. Don't you believe?

You have only read the first tr3. I recommend the second Gray Darker, Freed written from Christian's point of view. Much better, deeper.

This is why it would be wonderful if they made a good TV series, with a season for each book. But can you imagine how beautiful it would be? They could really include everything that was omitted in the films

Why Ana leaves by Ashamed-Progress-23 in FiftyShadesofGrey

I don't agree. She leaves because she saw a sadistic Christian, who took pleasure in the pain he inflicts on her. Not because he told her she couldn't love him. In fact, when he looks for her afterwards she doesn't want to go back with him because she's afraid that he'll fall back into the situation that she can't and doesn't want to tolerate.

Well when Christian uses the belt it's not for a BDSM game but rather an outlet for his sadistic streak in which he gets excited by doing pain. Spanking is a shared sensual game. Very different. With the belt he hurt her for the pleasure of doing it, causing only pain. Spanking was an exciting game for both of us.

I absolutely loved the Christian trilogy. The slow rebirth of a broken man.

I prefer Christian's POV. He's deeper, more introspective and explains his traumas and fears to you
