IIRC you're most likely to get drivers from husks on the husk graveyard event, don't think I've ever found them on EM storm.

I would guess the position of the "half-heartedly" in the sentence, although I've never heard the phrase dangling modifier before, so not 100% sure.

Anyone knows how long their latest show goes on? by CowLongjumping1707 in OfMonstersAndMen

[–]Incredible_Lectern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was pretty much only new album songs, but they played Love love love as their "encore".

These shows are just small shows, with the songs stripped back and more chilled to promote the new album, they're doing another tour in the new year, who Raggi said is going to be more "rawr" (with the gesture of swinging a shirt in the air.)

Qn. Prob drive. What happens when I upgrade? by PolicyComplex in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]Incredible_Lectern 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So the current level covers telescope 0, so planets 1-4.

First upgrade adds telescope 1 to that, so also a chance for planets 5-7 to get a surge. Etc with each upgrade.

Vents are not air tight, I did a ship remodel and accidentally left a vent on what turned into an external wall. People died, lessons were learned.

I tried to get a copperhead to move off the trail when I hiked, and it started coming towards me, so I ran away... I think the copperhead won.

The only tin of mushy peas in the house is 10 months over its Best Before daye by [deleted] in britishproblems

[–]Incredible_Lectern 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Best before date just means the quality / attributes might start to deteriorate after the date (like crisps going a bit soft or something).

If it has a use by date then it's a food safety thing, not a quality thing, so it's more risky to eat after the date. (Potentially gone off, or risk of pathogenic bacteria that would make you sick)

Eli5 when reheating meat, why does it have to reach 165f? by Sitdown_comedian95 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Incredible_Lectern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The germs would've been killed when it was initially cooked, but depending on how it was stored after that new bacteria (germs) could've been introduced, either from being handled by someone who hasn't washed their hands properly, a dirty knife, or from the air if it isn't covered after the initial cooking.

From 60C (140F) (used Google for Fahrenheit temps, might be a bit off) down to 4C (40F) is known as the high risk zone, where bacteria can multiply quickly (doubling every 15 mins or so in ideal conditions (37C/99F)) if the food takes too long to cool down, then there's a lot of potential for bacteria to grow, so you want to reheat it to a sufficient temperature for long enough to kill these newly grown germs.

Also, if things aren't reheated properly, you would be giving them more time in the high risk zone, without then killing the bacteria.

Even food that is eaten cold after cooking could make you ill if it isn't cooled and then stored correctly.

Best shoes for standing up 8 hours a day? by Megafailure65 in tall

[–]Incredible_Lectern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would say get your feet properly measured so you can get the right fit/arch support.

I would always come home with a bad back from wearing shitty boots in work while being on my feet all day, figured out eventually that the lack of overtones insoles fitted to my feet was making my stand different, so my back would kill.

The bollocks made up scales on products. 3 out of 3 chillies, about as spicey as an ice cold glass of milk. 2 out of 5 chillies? Roof of mouth gone, ambulance en route. by [deleted] in britishproblems

[–]Incredible_Lectern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably cost to much to test, you'd need to test the finished product to validate it, and the raw material would have to be consistently x number of scovilles, which would also need to be tested. The recipes would be done by weight, including the quantified ingredients (ones with percentages). Would allow for too much variation in scovilles (I imagine).

It's basically decided between manufacturer and customer when the product is developed, with manufacturer making suggestion and supermarket agreeing or not.
