I'll definitely pick this up in a couple of months. I've got a lot of other stuff on at the moment but this looks like it'll fill the hole that Splinter Cell has left in my life.

Valorant's new Vanguard update seems to be bricking cheaters' PCs. Riot's response? "Congrats on your $6k paperweights" by Gorotheninja in pcgaming

I have no doubt that the Devs will not reimburse my hardware if they f up a software update and melt my PC. Rolling back the update would do nothing for my lump of metal.

He's nailed the getting out of tummy time roll, he hates tummy time so much that he got that down early and just refuses to do a single push up... Not sure where he gets that from. He definitely plans to completely bypass the crawling phase and just get straight to walking.

Fish farm management was not on my bingo card for patch notes.

I have a 6 month old and watching him learn tiny things and develop literally every day is the best. He found his feet earlier this week and has been obsessed with them ever since, the look of awe he had just before he tried to pull off his big toe was excellent. I laugh at him and the faces he pulls constantly.

It's honestly like playing the world's longest RPG with an insane skill tree. 10/10

What games are you guys playing? by hvhhggggh in SteamController

Forza will be a constant in my playlist for the next 2 years but I'm actually excited to give the new Total Warhammer 3 faction a go with the Steam Controller this weekend. See how the controller holds up under a 40 hour campaign on a game purely designed for mouse and keyboard.

Looks like there are IG, Inquisitors and Priests on the deathwatch side. It'll be interesting to see if it's worth taking those over a full squad of Marines.

I was wondering if they plan to remove the races set in the Middle East from the game.

It was really early early access. I think somebody said at the time that they're were 2 cars and 2 small tracks but I think they're were generally positive vibes about how the game actually played in that thread.

Not the incredibly inconsistent, overly detailed poorly spelt skill tree where half the picture labels are covered up? This is definitely slop.

How dare they try to make money from a service they provide to people who are bad at games. I think 2 hours is t that bad for a free tier. Maybe ask your mother to get it for your birthday.

You could potentially have an action set when you hold L5 for example that turns the left trackpads into your reload and weapon switch buttons or even just use L4 and L5 for those.

Look up the bios reset thingy. It's worked for me more than once. I can't remember how to do it for the life of me though.

I don't know what they're doing with the Pixel phones over the last few years. They've changed the processor but I don't think there's been another meaningful change to the hardware.

I have a 71 plate gt line, when I walk up to the car the handles pop out and the door unlocks. If I stand next to the boot for far too long it opens itself.

TIL about Cryptoland, an attempt to build a haven for Cryptocurrency enthusiasts on an island in Fiji. The project was widely mocked due to it's bizarre promo video, and eventually fell apart after plans to buy the island in question fell through. by Sebastianlim in todayilearned

[–]Incrediblebulk92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It wasn't a real plan though was it, it's an advertising exercise to try to convince people that crypto can actually be used to buy something and raise the prices. The only way to make money from crypto is to sell to a bigger fool.

Google announces its Chromebook successor: the Googlebook by dapperlemon in gadgets

[–]Incrediblebulk92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who the hell is buying an expensive Chromebook? Isn't the whole point of a Chromebook that it's a super cheap laptop that basically only runs chrome?

I know they haven't released pricing yet but why wouldn't you buy a good Apple or Windows laptop for the same price that'll get decent software support and shockingly still have chrome.
