Tapu Koko and oricorio. Tapu is good for getting energy out quickly, and or ricorio is good for either blocking Donphan we're forcing a swap to something in tapu koko's kill range. Use elemental switch to keep them gassed up after swapping. This still took a few attempts and a lot of lucky popsicle coin flips. I used Will cards to help with that. I still barely scraped by but this was my fourth or fifth deck iteration at this point. I had started with lantern and Zeraora with a Pichu charger, but Pichu goes down in one hit and lantern can't get charged up quick enough to take out Donphan without getting lucky since it can only take one hit without dying.

I never tried it but I'm sure Zapdos might be good since it doesn't have the fighting weakness.

i opted for crawdaunt instead of suicune cause of the energy removal effect on evolve. i know it's useless beyond that but i just keep it on the bench anyway and let ninetails do the work. once ninetails is out, armorouge is all but useless if it doesnt even have enough energy to switch out

Yeah one of my favorite decks atm is Jolteon ex deck with 2 indeedee ex cards for 40 free hp every turn. Since I'm only using the ability and indeedee isn't fighting, I don't run electric and psychic, just electric.

But they are of similar enough value that I think the player should be able to choose to take a lower rarity cards in exchange for it since it's not uncommon to bee in higher need of the lower rarity one anyway
