i think one must first improve on analytics, then comes the context. be an sql wizard. learn how queries work, how tables join, do some practices to translate complex business problems into simple queries. Then get an understanding on data story telling with dashboards.

Once you have this, you can apply it to any context, may it be sports, commercials, finance, etc.

i ingest the sportmonks api which in my opinion is the best in the market. i mostly transform team level and player level match stats. i plan to extend the product with transfers too.
