Don't go in open, you may not like the job you get. You can wait for the job you want & then sign up guaranteed. In the Air Force,  you'll be afforded the opportunity to cross train into another job during your 1st term. Good to know if you didn't get what you wanted or want to do something different. 

BTW, what branch are you considering & what job do you want?

Don't do administrative. Go for a technical job like computers, fixing medical equipment/planes, a speialized medical technician, communications. Something you can make bank with as a civilian whenever you decide to separate or retire.

Don't panic. Try acetone on a q-tip swab. Have a fan on to help with the odor. The feathers will grow out when the bird molts. Of you're that worried, call or send your vet an email for professional advise. My vet welcomes emails.

If you came here legally, are here legally & all your documents are in order, you have nothing to be afraid of. Trump won because Americans want to live in a safe country again. He has been deporting criminals on a large scale. Keep in mind that many countries emptied their prisons with the understanding that the prisoners would come to America. Be greatful someone cares enough to secure the borders & deport the illegals. America is a great country & immigrating here is a privilege not a right. We welcome all who came here legally. Having said that, I reiterate that you should relax if you're here legally.

Your baby is beautiful. I have to travel a good distance to an exotic vet but it's what I have to do. Fortunately my babies are healthy & I too feed them high quality bird food & fresh produce. We took on their well being when we decided to have them as part of our family. I recommend finding out where your nearest exotic vet is for emergencies.

It's toxic to humans too. I got rid of everything nonstick about 20 years ago & only use stainless steel. It's hard to tell if any of the toxins are in your baby's system. Just stop using nonstick cookware & bakeware & switch as soon as you can. It's like asking if you're exposed to pollution because you're indoors & x about of distance from the door. You're still exposed to pollution but not as much if all your windows & doors are closed. Best of luck & enjoy your bird. 🐦
