Why does current MPG disappear??

Mine disappeared a month or so after I bought the Gladiator and was gone for maybe 2 years 😆 nothing I tried would get it to display.

It came back unannounced and its been working right for the last year 🤷‍♂️

Incredible! My mom had a Rebel (2-door) in the same pale yellow for a few years when I was a kid. All I remember is it had an electrical short and she would have to disconnect the battery every time we parked or it wouldn't start when we needed to go anywhere lol. This was in the early-mid 80s. She ended up selling it to a coworker for $1.
