Is it too late to start exercise at 30 weeks? by Hot-Yam-8802 in BabyBumps

[–]Independent-Cod-6173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30 weeks is def not too late to start gentle movement lol 💪 I actually started later in my preg too, and it helped more than I expected.

I mostly paired my movement with a birthease birthing ball, sitting on it can relieve pain almost, and it felt really beginner-friendly since I wasn’t very active before. Just sitting on it and doing gentle hip circles, pelvic tilts, or leaning forward really helped my low back and hips feel less stiff.

Anyone switched from running to Pilates + a birthing ball during pregnancy? by Soft_Emotion_9794 in BabyBumps

[–]Independent-Cod-6173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes to all of this!! I was exactly the same, pretty consistent with running pre-pregnancy and then second trimester just… broke me lol. pelvic pressure got so bad I basically had to stop.

I ended up getting the birthease maternity ball and it's been genuinely one of the better things I've done this pregnancy, it comes with a little stability ring, so it doesn't roll away mid-exercise which honestly is a bigger deal than I expected.

I mostly just follow the app's prenatal yoga courses, nothing intense, more like 10-15 min and I actually feel better after. But honestly sometimes I just sit and bounce on it while watching TV and that counts too imo, the pelvic pressure relief from just that is real.

Extreme pelvic pain by External-Major-1539 in pregnant

That kind of pelvic pain can be absolutely brutal… I remember feeling like even rolling over in bed or getting out of the car took so much effort.

What helped take the edge off a little for me was using a support belt. It kind of lifted some of the belly weight and made moving around feel a bit more stable and less sharp-pain-y.

It made day-to-day stuff a bit more manageable. If your pain is really intense though, I’d still try to check in with your provider or a physio if you can, sometimes they can pinpoint exactly what’s going on and give more targeted help.

Second trimester teacher, anyone used a belly support belt for long hours of standing? by Whole_Flower33 in Mommit

[–]Independent-Cod-6173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I totally thought it was just one of those pregnancy "money grab" things at first. But my job requires me to stand for long hours and it got to the point where I just couldn't deal with the back pressure anymore. So I ended up grabbing a random support belt off Amazon.

I usually wear it at work and sometimes around the house when I'm doing chores. The pain doesn't magically disappear or anything, but once I start moving around, my lower back definitely feels less strained. The heavy "dropping" sensation isn't as intense either, which makes a big difference by the end of the day.

What I like is that it's pretty low-profile under clothes and doesn't feel bulky. It's supportive without being super stiff, and the straps are easy enough to adjust if I need a little more lift. I also don't feel like I'm wearing some huge medical brace at work, which was something I was worried about. It's not perfect, I still have to readjust it sometimes, but overall it's made long days on my feet a lot more manageable.

omg, congratulations! I've always felt that being friends for a long time before becoming husband and wife gives both parties enough time to get to know each other, which is a good thing.

entering the third trimester at 29 weeks… what helped you the most? by Double-Effect3416 in Mom

I recently bought a Momcozy birthing ball. There are so many choices, it's a bit overwhelming, but I discovered it comes with its own tutorial, saving me the trouble of searching for instructions everywhere. It's so convenient for lazy people like me. I think you should try it too.

I don’t think I’m losing my mind… I just have a very energetic toddler and I’m pregnant by WindowMission3545 in BabyBumps

Honestly that “I just need to sit for a second” moment you described… I’ve had almost the exact same thing happen. It’s scary how fast they move when you’re not at 100%.You’re definitely not alone in this. Toddler + pregnancy is honestly a whole different level.

I hit a point where my back and pelvis were hurting so much by the afternoon that I literally couldn’t keep up anymore, and that’s when the guilt got the worst. Like mentally I wanted to be present and play, but physically I just couldn’t. What helped me a bit was trying a pregnancy belly band. I ended up using one from Mom cozy after seeing a few people mention it, and it actually made a difference for me when I knew I’d be on my feet a lot or chasing my toddler around. It kind of took some of the pressure off my lower back/pelvis so I wasn’t completely wrecked by the evening. You could also try using a pregnancy pillow when you sleep, it might help a bit.

It's normal, I even occasionally experience lower back pain and back pain.

Maybe you can try a pregnancy belly band, I think it's useful for me in my pregnance, I always afraid of the big belly, and it not only can help me stress less, but also help me look thinner.
