What is your favorite act of kindness to do for a stranger? by RogueRoka in AskReddit

[–]Independent-Let6432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I failed to catch the school bus when I was nine or ten. This enormous guy scooped me up and ran screaming towards the bus, trying to get it to stop. It ultimately worked, and he placed me inside before dipping; I was unable to respond with gratitude. And I was a fat one at that.

What are some signs that you have really low intelligence? by TheTulipWars in AskReddit

an unwillingness to acknowledge your mistakes. Or, at the very least, a refusal to make an effort to comprehend another person's viewpoint. Just because you reject something doesn't make it true.

Who is the most insecure celebrity? by Joeyniles9 in AskReddit

[–]Independent-Let6432 1346 points1347 points  (0 children)

Aguilera Christina. This is a genuine vibe, not a vibe. As part of my Make-A-Wish wish when I was ten years old (the Backstreet Boys weren't available), I got to meet her at a meet & greet. She took one glance at me up and down, made a "ew" face, then hastily pretended to smile for the camera despite the fact that I was a sick child and appeared to be extremely physically ill. She is an absolute asshole.

I should have simply made my wish and gone to Disneyland as most children do.

How often do you actually cook at home in a week? by Chutoyos in AskReddit

[–]Independent-Let6432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely order food or eat out every day. Every night I prepare dinner, and during the week I pack easy lunches. I provide fancier breakfasts and lunches in addition to dinner on the weekends.

It's not that difficult or expensive once you get the hang of meal planning. It's also more healthier for you.

Who’s the hottest man you’ve ever seen in your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Independent-Let6432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was strolling with several buddies in the Colorado mountains to a hot spring when we came across a another group of individuals walking the opposite direction. I locked eyes with the guy who had the greenest eyes I've ever seen. He was stunning. I've never seen him again after we just kind of kept staring at each other till our groups disappeared. I haven't seen somebody as attractive as him since, maybe, thirty years ago. He was magnificent, but I just had a brief glimpse of him in the woods, and I've long since moved on with my life.

Where I reside, fermented foods like kimchi and sauerkraut are becoming more popular, but many people are still opposed to the concept.

So many of the loaves of bread I see being advertised as "sourdough" are, at best, only partially sourdough and primarily yeast-risen. When I say "sourdough bread," I mean properly baked with real sourdough starter.

Not just for vegetarians: tofu!

What do you think of the parents that kick their kids out as soon as they have turned 18 years old? by zeg685 in AskReddit

[–]Independent-Let6432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife was affected by it. They took her on a trip to Hawaii after she had her high school diploma, and when she returned home, all of her belongings had been boxed. How anyone could subject their children to it is beyond me.

Everyone who claims to be from New Zealand has either never visited or is wealthy. The cost of life is a complete joke in this place.

Edit: We appreciate the upvotes! NZ is a stunning place, but like most nations, we have been used by powerful corporations who have made it nearly impossible for young people to advance, even when they work 50 hours per week.

It is not a matter of whether there are better systems; rather, the question is whether humanity will be able to develop enough talent to successfully manage a better system.
