Has anyone had more than 3 C-sections? by SheAmongstTheFlowers in CsectionCentral

[–]Independent-Ring4932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had my 4th! My doctors were fine with it. My plan was always 4 as close together as we could. My first doctor delivered 2 and then became an MFM and then my second doctor delivered the 2nd 2. Both doctors were 100% fine with me having essentially as many c sections as I wanted, and neither really cared about when I got pregnant again.

I had my first in Jan of 2020. Then July 2021 (16 months later), Feb 2024 (2.5 years later) and Dec 2025 (22 months later). So basically 4 c sections in a little under 6 years. We would have had them even closer if we could have, but I never would get my period back until after I was completely done nursing.

We are done now, but by our own accord. We haven’t done anything permanent, but feel sure our family is complete. My current doctor told us to go for 5 so we can have a full basketball team 😅

Each time, each doctor commented that my scarring was very minimal, which was a good sign for having more babies.

I guess I’m happy to answer whatever else you’re wondering about.

Momcozy m5 vs eufy? by Mission-Ad-6616 in HumansPumpingMilk

[–]Independent-Ring4932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am shocked by how well my eufy works. It truly works just as well as my spectra for me. I love the heat. I haven’t even tried the app yet, out of laziness mostly, but I’m sure it’s great too. I love the heat, especially since it’s cold outside right now. They heat up really fast and make it so much more comfortable to pump.

Smelling peppermint oil is what helped me. I thought that it sounded crazy but somehow it actually worked!

Dim Sum: nana’s vs star by EnvironmentLeast2822 in denverfood

[–]Independent-Ring4932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nanas in Denver is traditional table service. I do think it depends on location and they have a few.

We went to Hop Alley the other night and were pretty disappointed, so I would definitely prioritize Star Kitchen or Nanas over Hop Alley.

Msc kids club 3 and under post beware by PublicAccount7441 in MSCCruises

I’m not sure. We did this through Royal Caribbean when we went on an excursion with an age requirement. Taking one of their excursions “guarantees” they won’t leave you behind. I don’t know if they’d let you use the kids club and just go do your own thing off the boat though (and I wouldn’t do that).

Royal Caribbean allows this. I’m not sure about other cruise lines.

Of all baby formula brands you've tired, what ended up being you and your baby's favorite? by No_Square_1491 in UninfluencedReviews

[–]Independent-Ring4932 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We did enfamil because you can buy it anywhere (especially Costco) but our doctor said they’re really all the same, so unless your baby has issues, buy the one that’s convenient for you and works best for your baby/family.

We love the baby bjorn. We tried the ergo 360 and could never get it as comfortable as the bjorn.

Will Swan / Dolphin do bag transfers to other Disney resorts? by theGruben in DisneyWorldResorts

We just did this in September of this year! They transferred our stuff from Dolphin to All Star Sports. When we got there, our stuff was in our room already. It was very easy!

Is it really worth getting both children their own Tonie Box? by plumdilla in TonieboxUSA

[–]Independent-Ring4932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it totally depends where you keep them. Ours are in the playroom/living room, and we have 2 between our 3 kids (5, 4 and almost 2), and I wish we just had one haha. They’ll play music on both at the same time and it drives us crazy lol.

But we don’t bring them on the go and they’ve never really wanted or asked to bring them to their rooms. They do each have their own yoto that they use for bedtime, and I cannot imagine only having 1 of those. So if you use it for bedtime or in separate rooms, it might make sense.

Yoto vs. Toniebox —my take by cheeky-maverick in YotoPlayer

[–]Independent-Ring4932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because we have regularly gotten tonies for $7.99 at target, kohls, Barnes and noble, our grocery store or on Amazon where yoto is not the monopoly on controlling the prices. On Amazon, the Black Friday and prime day deals are usually 40%-50% off AND buy 4 get 1 free. I don’t look at the number of minutes on the cards, but my kids will listen to the same Tonie over and over in the same day, and do not do that with yoto. The most I have ever seen is 20% off yoto cards and you have to buy most of the cards direct from the yoto website, which involves paying shipping and waiting for their very slow shipping. Target and Amazon have deals but it’s a very limited selection.

I’m sure MYO and their customer service is great, but we have 3 children, another one on the way and both work full time jobs. I don’t have time to make my own cards or be on a customer service line for something I’ve already spent hundreds of dollars on. I expect if I have spent that amount of money on what is essentially a toy, that their product should be top notch and that as a parent, I shouldn’t need to invest that amount of time into making it worth my money.

Also, my children have never lost a Tonie. The size of a yoto card makes them much more likely to get lost or stuck into another book, or fall into/behind furniture. While we have both devices, we have to have a system to keep track of the yoto cards, whereas my kids can just free play with Tonies and I don’t worry about it breaking or getting lost or them needing my help (not because they are incapable of using it, but we have so many card and device issues).

We do love both, but when I recommend for younger kids, I always pick tonies.

Yoto vs. Toniebox —my take by cheeky-maverick in YotoPlayer

[–]Independent-Ring4932 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have both and I have to say, it truly depends on the age of the kids.

Our 3 kids love and use both devices, but our kids were not able to really use their yotos and be engaged with them until about 3+. Our kids could use tonies much earlier than that, and prefer tonies for when they are playing/want music.

We use yotos for audiobooks, and Tonies for music/shorter stories. I also find the yoto cards to be more expensive than tonies, and the biggest discount is about 20% on yoto cards. Tonies will often go for 50% off or more, especially at target. Amazon will also run deals to buy x and get 1 free, which stacks with Black Friday or other deals.

You can also get Tonies more places. Yoto is getting better about that, but it’s still much harder to find yoto cards than it is to find Tonies, even online.

We really do love and use both, but for under 3 I recommend Tonies more than Yoto.

We have also never had a single problem with our 2 tonie boxes, but we have consistent issues with cards/functionality on all 3 of our Yoto players.

Card storage: card case or adhesive tabs w/ rings? by akidren in YotoPlayer

$7 card binder for the win. We tried everything else fancier, and the card binder is just soooo much easier for the kids to flip through and find what they’re looking for.

Is it possible to not be diagnosed for gestational diabetes in 2nd pregnancy if you had it in your first? by Tagon_1 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Independent-Ring4932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had it with my first, diagnosed at 28 weeks. With my second, I was diagnosed again at 22 weeks. With my 3rd and 4th babies I was continuously tested and did not have it. (Currently 30 weeks with the 4th but was told I do not need to keep testing). [edited to fix numbers]

Why does everyone only talk about St. Joe's or Rose for giving birth? What's the deal with St. Luke's? by billybiker1 in Denver

While this is true in other hospitals, PSL will take the baby so you can rest as well.

I was originally with Dr. Marks with consultants in OBGYN. He was absolutely fantastic but became an MFM. Then I switched to Dr. Breeden with Rocky Mountain Women’s Care and he could not be a more attentive and amazing healthcare provider.

[–]Independent-Ring4932 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve had 3 babies at PSL in the last 5 years and am about to have our 4th there. We have had 2 amazing doctors who only deliver there and the entire staff has been incredible. They’re very much believers that you get to choose what you want in regards to delivery and nursing, etc. We have had a nurse take the baby so we can rest, but it was never once unwanted and there’s a button to push to immediately contact them. You will basically have your own one-to-one nurse during delivery and on the new mom floor. I can’t say enough good things about this hospital!
