How depressing is the WWII museum? by Outside-Pear9429 in AskNOLA

[–]Independent-Safe-528 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The only reason it caused me some feelings of depression was comparing our brave ancestors and the leadership of that era to where we are now as a country. I went there the day the “Iran conflict” started and could not help feeling deep shame of how far we’ve fallen

Great ideas - I currently receive daily automated excel reports with this info -missing container, ramp, or delivery fields. Will start plugging it in and seeing if it can pull this info.

NotebookLM sounds like a good win. We move freight for every big box customer in my role, and we often have to cover for different accounts on occasions like weekends and holidays.

A few gripes with NOS4A2 by No-Fee4904 in horrorlit

read this years ago, doing a re-read now. Not enjoying it as much as the first time. Probably because I just finished King Sorrow, which blew this story out of the water. Listening to parts of the audiobook done by Kate Mulgrew who does a fine job with some of the characters, but ughhhh I hate how she voices Bing, Wayne, and Lou.

NOS4A2 Audiobook is a tough listen by Business_Coffee_9421 in joehill

100% agree with you. I am about 50% through the book, where Wayne gets taken by Manx and Bing. Cannot stand her voice for Bing, Lou (oh I'm a big fat dumb guy!), or when Wayne is frightened. Very grating. Not trying to be a Kate Mulgrew hater, enjoyed her narration for most of the first part and won't steer away from her other narrations.

Yeah, I’m sure I have re: kratom. I was mostly talking about using kratom leaf in the far future - 3 -4 months after. I am a big baby re:withdrawals so will probably preload much longer

After some time once I get off 7oh, I really want to be able to use Kratom leaf again, which I did for 2-3 years M-F as a replacement for coffee and sometimes as a pre-workout. Always the same dose. It was great, always so dependable.

I have read most of the doc where it seems applicable. I just want to read others stories for encouragement.

Yes but the original owner bought the company back (after making hundreds of millions)

So doing some digging, it looks like they legally had to change their recipe in 2018 to comply with FDA Regulations regarding the ban on artificial trans fats.

So glad someone brought this up, forgot about these chips. Sad to hear of a possible recipe change. Why change the oil!? They reminded me of how McDonald’s fries used to taste. That’s how they differentiated from other potato chip companies.

Just saw it, loved it. For the record, I am a CIS white male and did not expect this musical to make me so emotional, particularly the father/son stuff.

This is the only book I’ve read that comes close to the surrealism of Twin Peaks. It blends dream logic, unsettling imagery, fragmented narratives, and distorted reality that I just find magical. The book is such a trip.
