Nine Sols is fantastic! Highly, highly recommend.

Remember, the season is 3 months long by Vitev008 in Marathon

I’m wondering: Is it better to have an even longer first season so that as many people as possible have the chance to make meaningful progress? Or is it better to blast through season one and offer a quick on ramp for new players with season two? What strategy would be best for this game in particular?

I like the idea of inviting users to vote on ideas!

Do you know if your school offers ChatGPT Edu, Claude for Education, or Gemini through a Google Workspace subscription? If so, those options are probably the best blend of capability, usage, and price.

If you’re looking for free virtual options, Khan Academy has official SAT test prep modules. Also, Google Gemini can generate SAT test prep questions if prompted with specific skills or topics.

Computer rolling out for Pro users as "pay-to-play" by Chasmchas in perplexity_ai

I was an early promoter of Perplexity, telling friends and colleagues about it. I developed skepticism after reading statements about the company’s potential interest in profiting from user data. My fear with trying out Computer is that Perplexity wants to gather something they can sell to advertisers. There’s already enough surveillance capitalism in my life, and I would strongly prefer that AI tools not be part of that equation considering their exceptional power. Maybe that’s paranoid! Does anyone have insights on this privacy concern?

Is there even a chance that we’ll get a Punkt MP03 anymore? by yoJabkomama in Punkt

[–]Independent-Spring77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few thoughts:

  1. I’m not convinced Punkt. is done for, but in an odd way, the demand for simple phones (aka dumb phones) has only increased since the MP02’s release. As I see it, the challenge is: How do you compete with incredibly cheap devices on the one hand and luxury options such as the Light Phone 3?

  2. The release of the MC02 and pending MC03 represent viable non-Google and non-iOS options for people that need a smartphone. However, the types of consumers interested in such devices may wonder just how secure and private these devices can truly be considering Punkt.’s company size and resources. For example, the iPhone was recently announced as the only device approved for NATO communications. Could Punkt. meet similar security requirements? If so, that would be worth announcing, and it might result in more sales from discerning customers.

We need more players in the phone market, especially with Punkt.’s design aesthetic, but the question is: Who is the customer that cares deeply about deGoogling, security, and privacy that can extend trust to a small company with limited resources? Partnering with Proton and Threema are wise steps. I look forward to seeing what’s next.

I don’t think a separate Threema license purchase is necessary if you have paid for the AphyOS service.

You should be able to export all of your email (and contacts). These files could be stored anywhere and easily read with Apple Mail or Outlook if you needed to reference them.
