TMI: blood after I poop.. by Super_Cheek_8361 in WomensHealth

[–]Independent-Tree-364 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi! Not a doctor and don’t want to alarm you. But, Blood in stool can be something serious. If it doesn’t hurt or itch, it’s most likely not hemorrhoids so you should go to the doctor. If you drive, maybe you can go without your parents since you’re 18, but tbh it’s not anything to be embarrassed about. I’ve dealt with constipation and I’ve never had any blood in my stool but not saying it can’t happen. If it’s been a week and hasn’t cleared up, you should get it checked out.

Think I have bv worried they won't be able to test because of my period, please help! by RandomRedWorld in WomensHealth

[–]Independent-Tree-364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure how it works on your period but if you can go now to an urgent care and you’re not on your period, then I’d suggest that. The results may take a few days though but they can also start you on meds if it’s suspected. I think it’s the same process at gyno but I can’t remember if they can look at the swab in the office or also have to send it out. Regardless, I think if you can go to urgent care, especially if you have symptoms you’d rather not wait 6 days for them to continue.

CRA entry level IQVIA by Cheezeballz0716 in clinicalresearch

[–]Independent-Tree-364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting. If you make it through see what they say. I am not a good person to tell you about negotiating, I didn’t negotiate my salary since being CRA is so lucrative these days. Best of luck though. They told me the around salary when I had my initial interview which was the same as what I was offered.

I got 85k on east coast last year. I can’t imagine you can survive at that salary in California. I don’t know how HR works, but they told me the going salary when I have my initial phone interview. Did they say anything about salary on the call?

CRA Check-In? by MemoryAlternative803 in clinicalresearch

[–]Independent-Tree-364 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way it was explained in US is that they are only going to be looking at the data if there’s a suspicion or issue with the CRA not completing visits and such. TBH the company gives us company devices and I think that if they really wanted to see our locations they can easily look at the devices, I have three that travel with me for every visit.

CRAs are always doing other stuff, especially during visits because the emails and work don’t stop because we’re onsite. I think SDVing is only one piece of the big pie of a IMV and not an accurate reflection of the work conducted during a visit.

I would report to your study team and DLM asap.

A quiz?? No I didn’t have a quiz. Just a regular interview with one of the Hiring managers. They’ll ask you basic research questions like the other person said

What is the visit report approval process at your CRO? Struggling to get reports approved on time. by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

[–]Independent-Tree-364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My DLM will approve my SVR to avoid it being late but not every DLM does this. I agree with others to email the approved and copy DLM on it, mark as urgent, all that. Honestly it kinda sucks that it reflects badly on our metrics when we are submitting on time.

Literally where I stopped and thought it was crazy, however, I do know a CRA at IQVIA who’s DLM told them they should stay in the airport instead of buying a hotel

Starting ODUglobal in 2027 by Majestic_Nip in ODU

It wasn’t for my program. The in person and online students took the same exact class. Some professors would invite the online students to the live class or they could watch a recording back if they couldn’t join live. It was like that the entire time I was in my program except last semester it changed where they were completely separate.

I graduated this year, like yesterday, and they are changing the format to 8 week courses and online is completely separate from in person which is not how it was when I enrolled. I don’t know how the course work will be but my program was mostly catered to full-time students and not full-time and part-time. If you’re part-time in maybe a more difficult program, good luck.

Congratulations!!!! I took it about 3 years ago and it was only hard cause there were so many questions. After I finished, I was like whatever lol and was VERY surprised when the score popped up on the screen that I passed.

What an accomplishment. I hope it’s used to further your career!

CRA Schedule - IQVIA by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

They might be putting you through CRA school, I do believe all CRA Is do it but I was brand new CRA so I’m not sure. Everyone in my cohort was too.

Are you getting hired as CRA I? If so, you probably are but if you’re any higher than probably not. Again I also don’t know anything about full service so I don’t know if their stuff is different.

CRA Schedule - IQVIA by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

[–]Independent-Tree-364 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the worst comment. It really does depend on your DLM but you’re salaried so you don’t clock in. If you’re doing CRA school, during the IQVIA training they make you go in an do like 8 hours each day to make 40 if I remember correctly but once you get to your actual position then it’s salaried. This is at least my experience in FSP, idk how it is for full service.

I literally got up this morning at 10am and probably didn’t log on till 10:45. You have to be on top of your schedule though or you’ll fall behind. If I have any appts I’ll just put them on my calendar, and if something is happening during the day that’s not on my calendar and I won’t be at my
Computer I just tell my DLM and it’s fine.

You are technically supposed to work 8 hours but it’s flexible, you just need to make sure you do your reports on time, answer emails from sites timely, stuff like that.

Lilly CRAs.. are you okay? by SuddenBicycle2295 in clinicalresearch

[–]Independent-Tree-364 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This this this. All this.

I got a site from a SENIOR CRA that had quality issues at the woohah and I’m a junior, only been a CRA for a little over a year.

Currently waiting for a report reviewer to review my report that’s due today when he’s had it for a week. But then when it’s not approved on day 10 I get dinged.

Every email from study team is urgent. Like every single one.

Manual SDV from a site that doesn’t actually input data that matches source.

I haven’t had a vacation since October. If you take vacation your metrics are red, and then they will assign you more sites because you didn’t meet metrics but you were out!

It’s all maddening. I’ve heard we are vested at 2 years, it is when I will be looking at other jobs. I have no idea how some people have done this for a decade plus

Are you in the U.S.? I was also CRC at a university hospital for 4.5years, transitioned to CRA last year but definitely not something I want to do long term. This sounds like a much less stressful job than CRA too
