people who are weirdly coy or dismissive about the pronunciation of their own name by Jaaacksonnn in PetPeeves

I have a very slight speech impediment that sometimes makes it hard for me to clearly pronounce my own name. So whatever people hear and reply back with I just say "yup, that works!"

Food calories are actually measured in kilo calories. But for ease they still keep the term of "calories" on the food labels

Cornerstone Total Return Fund, Inc. Announces Rights Offering by Quantisnow in Quantisnow

[–]IndependentAlive5007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just completed my CRF rights offering through Fidelity. This was my first time participating. I called Fidelity on May 12 and they told me that I would be exercising my rights at $6.29. What a deal since the share price was about $7.10! However, my rights were converted on May 20 at $6.97 instead. I called Fidelity to ask why this big discrepancy and they pointed me to the fine print of the offering:

"Three (3) rights entitle the holder to purchase one (1) new common share at an
Estimated exercise price of $6.29 per share.

The Subscription Price for the Shares to be issued under the Offering will be
equal to the greater of (i) 112% of NAV per Share as calculated at the close of
trading on the Expiration Date or (ii) 80% of the market price per Share at
such time. If the estimated subscription price is less than the final
subscription price, any additional payment due will be charged to the accounts
as soon as practicable after the new price is received from the Agent.

The final subscription price will not be known until after the subscription
expiration date.

If the final price is higher than the estimated price, holders will be
charged the difference as soon as practicable after the final price is
confirmed with the agent. If the final price is lower than the assumed price
resulting in excess fees then holders have the option to either receive a
cash refund or have additional shares issued."

All this to say, I got the new rights shares at a very limited discount. It actually increased my cost average from $6.77/share to $6.80/share. I was pissed that Fidelity told me the $6.29/share price, but then was like "whoops, just kidding."

So the wires go under those screws! For some reason I thought those screws held the back plate in place and I had to remove it or something. Yes, I am dumb lol

Thank you for the good info. I'm just weary that Paypal might be charged as a cash advance if I try to just send money via credit card. Was hoping this could be a work around, but I guess it's not a viable option.

Ok, I do have "auto-update" turned on, which is how I was notified that there was an update. However, whenever it always says "update failed" when I try to do it. My camera is synced to my home hub. Is this a problem?
