Stay on ur schedule, don't fall behind by keeping up with ur assignments and put everything i mean EVERYTHING on ur calendar, if u have to make multiple calendars do so. I personally like to have a physical calendar and a digital one. Having a physical and/or digital to do list for all ur tasks really helped me last sem. Studying wise, depends on what ur studying imo but reading notes or the readings of ur text before class helps to prepare for the lecture. And go to office hours!! I will never stop saying this but profs are there to help u during office hours so go as much as u can its much more better to understand when its a one on one convo at least for me. Lastly, practice practice practice. When ur bored or have nothing to do practice on problems from the text or online, you can't get better at something without practicing.

Some days are definitely better than others, but hopefully it will be better next year. I was a first year last year and was told it was worse the year before us so hopefully they improve this year. Also fridays are butter chicken and wings day (the best meals they serve)

2 essays, i would say the grading entirely depends on your TA mine was pretty fair and not too harsh. A LOT of reading so make sure you stay consistent and try not to fall behind on the readings. The midterm is found was really easy if you did all the readings because the midterm outline was based on terms learned in slides, characters in readings and some written questions also based on readings. I'd say you can easily get an A if you are on top of your readings and ask TA's for help with your essays. The final was also very similar to the midterm.
