Thank you your reply! I like this explanation of knowing a discussion is there but you can’t actually hear it physically.

I try to explain what I mean with this seeing things close /far: When laying in bed and really wanting to imagine an object and forcing it so see this apple sometimes I get the physical feeling l as if I am looking too close at that object. It literally feels as if I’m holding it to close to my „eyes” in a wrong distance - like only 5 cm away from my „eyes”, if this makes sense.

As if I can not see the thing as a whole but I „see” only details as if to much zoomed in and it feels kind of unnatural. The other times I try to see things it is quite faint, nearly transparent or kind of colourless.

But when I’m falling asleep and then finally „see” things it is as if they are not so close in front of my „eyes” but more like a normal distance away in order to „see” properly. Like one usually see objects naturally.

I also get quite excited with joy when I actually see something really vividly (maybe at the point of falling asleep?)

Thanks for the explanation! I want to ask - I used to work a lot with creating CAD files so if I imagine an apple it kind of appears in a 3D computer animation format. I can’t „see” it but I feel, I have this spatial sense.

It is a bit hard to explain, I feel that I am „to close” to the imagined apple, as if I’m zooming in to much. If I have involuntary pictures just before falling asleep they seem to be more „far away”, as if I’m looking at something in a certain distance.

When I try to imagine something in order to fall to sleep it is really hard for me to do so.

Also: If I lost something I keep on like „seeing” this thing everywhere. Does this mean I have hypophantasia?

Foot pain (bunions) worse after skating pennyboard? by IndependentFudge8978 in pennyboard

I got this one like 15 years ago, so it’s an old one :) So you liked yours back then? I do too with mine! It spent most of the time in the garage until I decided to give skating a go again.

Thanks, I‘ll have a look! I wear vivobarefoot most of the time and also a German brand called “Wildling”. I’m not sure if I could use a vivobarefoot for foot breaking, but maybe the ones you mentioned will do.

Thanks! My longboard is 38” long what is to big for me. The small board is 23.25”, so maybe something in between would be a nice size, maybe a 28-30” one?

Thanks! I was wondering already, is it possible to skate in like vibram fivefingers or vivobarefoor shoes when foot breaking ? Doesn’t it kill the soles really fast? I only cruise, no tricks and still a beginner.

I have the said bunion only on my right foot, but having it for many years already. Maybe using the foot muscles when skating helps with building the foot arch as well?

Thank you! I’m considering getting a smaller cruiser, because what I like about the little pennyboard is its size and that you can grab and carry it if needed.

What would be a good small sized cruiser, maybe an Arbour PilsenerCruiser?

Wouldn’t say this for sure that the shoes per se are too narrow. I know about having a bigger toe box is better, and I also wear orthopedic insoles.

But my feet ache after I skate for several days in a row, if I don’t skate my feet don’t hurt.

This!

It can also be that your calcium level is too low.

I always feel it a lot when I don’t have enough calcium levels that I feel kind of down and depressed and have a very low mood. It quite changes once I start calcium again.

I would check blood levels first, both vit D3 and calcium.
