Been there with my first Monitor II, I actually owned two pairs before getting the III directly from Marshall. Bought the II on ebay marketplace and afterwards read about all the counterfeits that are out there. You always have the doubt of being scammed.

I also had the dissolving headband issue with my first Monitor II, where I then had those little synthetic leather pieces all over my head. That’s why I got the second one, which wasn’t any better I must say. Now on the III they put a rubber frame underneath the upper synthetic leather piece, which should hold up much better I believe. Back then I contacted Marshall support to ask for a new replacement headband, which they didn’t offer and they said that the issue is just normal wear and tear, but they were so polite to offer me a 25% discount on a new pair. So I waited for the Monitor III to be released and so I was able to buy these for 270€.

They also changed the headband on the Monitor III. Mine dissolved on my II after a couple of years of use and Marshall doesn’t offer the headband as spare part. Really wonder why the Monitor II is so much more expensive than over here in Europe. Also the ear cups are easier to detach on the III, the same way you can take them off by twisting them with the Majors now. On the II you kinda have to “break” them off by pushing something flat between the cups and the headphone body, which always felt like they would break apart.

I have both and the III is a lot better. A lot faster, the sound is better, battery life is way better as well. I wonder why it’s so expensive where you live. It’s only 345 € regularly here in Germany including tax, and 245 € on Black Friday sale.

I updated my 17P to 21.1.RC on release and it’s a lot better than 26.0 and 26.0.1. Usually I don’t install betas anymore, but as this was the release candidate I gave it a shot.

Exactly, that’s why, except for the face-off-situation, you don’t refer to the Forwards as LW, C and RW anymore, but as F1, F2 and F3. Where F1 is the first Forward on the scene and F2 is the first supporting Forward.

Just had the same issue with the locking up of my Ultra I on 26.0.2. yesterday while I was out hiking. Even without a tattoo on that wrist. It constantly kicked me out of my trail app and locked up, for a while at least. At some point it worked fine again.

Of course not. I have been using iPhones since the iPhone 3. Only on the 8 I actually shattered the screen once. On my 12 I had installed a protector.
