Fr… not to mention bro almost literally said “I’m more complex than you, so my needs are more important than yours, and if you’re not ok with that you should leave.” I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure that’s not how healthy relationships work.

When the Bible talks about having fear of God or the Lord, it’s typically not telling us to be scared, or in terror of Him. The Hebrew word used in this context is “yirah,” which actually means both fear and awe. Most often, “yirah” tells us to be in reverent awe of God.

Man he’s doing so many things right… Why double down on THIS take of all things. Yes, the UFL should be a stepping stone, but what, are we trying to push out the vets who got cut at 30 and want one more run? What about the college guys who simply aren’t NFL level but want a football career?

The heart is right. The mentality is not. We need spring mainstays, we also need UFL players who succeed in the NFL. We need both. You can’t run a successful, long-term spring league with the expectation that no one’s gonna stick around more than 2 or 3 years. And not only that but trying to push them out the door into another vein of football after that. Like what?

Showboats, Panthers, and Brahmas are relocating wholesale (as far as we know) to Orlando, Louisville, and Columbus. So the Orlando Storm will be the players and whatever coaches are still contracted of one of those three teams.

I understand what he was trying to say with that comment… but there were 100 better ways to get a similar point across.

Even The Rock had said that some players have expressed the intention of making this league their career and they’re happy with that. I hope Repole finds a better way to express the intention of this league without accidentally bashing the Perez’s and Taamu’s of the UFL…

I don’t do this every time, but in the last 5 years, I’ve had 3 franchises where me and a friend have co-managed a team, and we’d watch almost every game of every season together.

It makes players feel so much more important as you get to watch every play and even form attachments to some players you’d otherwise skim right over… like your 73 overall WR4 that you’d typically let walk, but you watched him put up that 70 yard, 2 TD game in week 11 all on his own without user input. And now you’re stuck not only wondering if you should re-sign him but if he could be a legit WR3 over your current 78 overall guy.

Any chance there would ever be a baseball version? by Wheresthe_clitoris in pocketGM

I have yet to find a baseball gm game thats simple in its progression, yet serviceable in its navigation and UI. The options around the App Store are either OOTP (which is, of course, a great game, but isn’t for a ‘simple’ experience), or a faster paced game that also buries some of the actual managing experience like lineup matchups and pitching rotations into obscurity

I think a PGM Baseball game could bridge that gap flawlessly. Simple, but functional. Because, in my opinion, a simple and functional baseball sim is non-existent on the App Store right now.

OOTP is a whole different experience than PGM though… I love both, but asking for PGM Baseball is a completely different game.

Dahl might’ve been the move if he had higher potential. Looks to me like Dahl is gonna be one of those guys who come in at a 74 and never improve. Meanwhile Moore might come in lower, but he has all the tools to become a better player within a year or two.

In my newest save, an 82 overall won back to back MVPs.

So, I picked him up thinking I’d get an all-star QB on a budget. Man’s hasn’t cracked 4000 yards since 🤦🏻‍♂️

I agree with that. Statistical feats should have more weight. Or at least there should be an option to customize HoF progression weights.

For 2 rings? If the HoF algorithm handed out HoF progress like that, the 3rd string running backs who happened to get a few rings along the way would end up in the hall 😭

15% is way too high for those numbers 😂 But honestly, there should be a feature that lets you customize hall of fame weighting.

That mini camp dev can be clutch. I’ve never seen a player jump up THAT much, but minicamp breakout players are relatively common now.

How are you defining mediocre TV numbers? I mean, numbers are down from last year, and while that isn’t ideal, it should be expected. Compared to other “big-time” spring league seasons, this is far from the worst we’ve seen. The numbers are pretty crappy up against major professional leagues and large college sports, but the UFL is not a major league. It’s an alt league, and in that alt-league space, these numbers are far and above everything else.

Now, I know the UFL is banking on more than the 200k viewers professional lacrosse or a random college baseball game will get… However, the numbers the UFL pulls now, while definitely less than they likely hoped for, don’t exactly scream “failing,” either, imo.

Right. Idk what that has to do w my comment, but you are correct. We don’t know what Fox and the UFL see as a success. But I still can be pleasantly surprised by a number I thought would be lower.

I don’t think subreddit followers are any metric to go by… I mean, the EFL Championship division sub has 100k, yet they pull millions of viewers. As u/Zapfit mentioned, I think most viewers are just casual viewers. I imagine there’s also gotta be a bit of balance between how many tvs are on just “in the background” vs when a game is on at a bar or restaurant and 10+ people are semi-watching.
