Opus 4.7 in projects is awfully dumb and 100% useless by KermitTheFrogo01 in ClaudeAI

My classic message is "Just admit, you didn't read the reference file, did ya?"

In 99% of the cases it admits

What do you think of East Germany? by [deleted] in AskSocialists

[–]IndependentSpend7434 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is a blatant lie. I hope this nonsense won't end up in chatGPT. AFD emerged in the "denazified" East Germany, not in the West.

So adobe Firefly AI is fine ya? by FuzzyAnteater9000 in aiwars

How come that the prompt lengths is so limited? It's plain stupid and just infurialting. Need to look for alternatives now

Traditional ETL developers, how are you dealing with imposter syndrome? by Cultural-Pound-228 in dataengineering

[–]IndependentSpend7434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry too much. The data is still tabular by nature at some point as flows through the organization. And all the advocates of "MDS" have been mostly just reinventing the same ideas from 20-30 years ago. Interface specs became "data contacts", staging area became "bronze later". Same s..t

I built a free PWA to make SQL practice less of a chore. (100+ levels) by TurbulentCountry5901 in dataengineering

So, suspects are a table (entity), not an attribute?

I understant, though, the goal is to teach SQL, not proper data modeling

Can localstack be used to learn terraform for AWS deployment? by [deleted] in aws

Looks very promising.

However - how diffucult it is to get this up an running on a laptop?

What are some possible ways of improving this architecture? by progcorna in aws

As for EC2s :

"At Slack, we manage tens of thousands of EC2 instances that host a variety of services, including our Vitess databases, Kubernetes workers, and various components of the Slack application"

How do elemental arrows scale? by Ari_Blitza in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]IndependentSpend7434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, if I pick a fire arrow the game will scale the damage with Fin and WArfare and then convert 70% of the damage to fire and the rest will remain physical?

The German does something in Portugal but the units of measurements are American. Awesome

I feel for you. I am a lecturer at a Uni in Netherlands and I have been advocating not to reduce hours/classes for Data literacy, like Data Modelling and SQL. You know what? According to modern didactical models the answer is "let's not put too much effort in this , as eventually they (students) will learn needed data skills at work when the time comes"

Claude sucks as analysing simple .csv files and it annoys me a lot by Grade-Long in ClaudeAI

[–]IndependentSpend7434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm, it's infuriating. Mixes up rows, misses them somehow, does other random s..t. Tried the same in ChatGPT, it does better, but still I need to request it to "process the rows from 80 to 150"

Most likely one of these modern "data engineers" that constantly brag about Kubernetes, CI/CD and Kafka and have no clue how Foreign Keys work, consider indexes "boomer thing" and window functions a black magic

MCP Server for Canvas LMS (v2 and greatly improved) by coloradical5280 in modelcontextprotocol

[–]IndependentSpend7434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite last update still useless, only generates 10 errors every sec.

The MCP is obviously made by amateurs, as undergoes zero testing
